There are ways to fix this. For the helicopter try to change the graphics setting. For the original poster's question, I would recommend to increase the value of any residence or business buildings in the area, poor places seem to draw more crime in, in my opinion. If this doesn't work then try building the airport in a different region, or just build a smaller airport. Hope this works.

Download a mod that gets rid of pollution as a whole, or download the ordinance mod that allows you to severely reduce pollution.

I downloaded a file some time ago which was supposed to make trees realistic (I can't find it at the moment though). I also downloaded several other files, none of which worked, and then a user on here directed me to a Mac SC4 site and pointed out a download that would make these work, and they did. However it did not work for the realistic tree download, and I'm now coming back to try again. I'm looking for the download at the moment, when I downloaded it I don't think it said that it would not work with a Mac.

I hate not being able to turn the canal and dock squares so it will match up with the others. Anyone know how to do this??

I actually did nuke Big City tutorial one time, using timed nuclear plant explosions. Cool CJ story, BTW.
