What has been wrong with ST over the last few days? Sorry, could have posted this days ago but pages were taking minutes each to load! And the STEX was down. Anyway it seems to be fixed now so here's the new update. While ST was kinda slow, I did some lurking around SC4D and found some cool new BSC BAT's of their exchange but then I had to spend 3 days downloading dependency files ...But it was probably worth it. Lower Hong Hom and parts of the Jordan and Mong Kok districts: This is just a random park area around Hong Hom. CLICK FOR FULL IMAGE Here's one of the two main highways/ avenues on the peninsular surrounded by densely packed pencil towers . I can't believe people can live in those things but because of the space shortage in HK, they have no choice. More Highrise living. CLICK FOR FULL IMAGE Oh yea, and how could we forget Mong Kok. It''s finished now, here's an overview of the crazy nightlife. CLICK FOR FULL IMAGE More of the Hong Hom park area... And here's just a little back steet in Mong Kok. Thanks for reading guys, replies in next update.

Hey great updates! Very nice tropical feel to all of them, something I think we don't have enough of in the CJ's. I'll defiantly be watching this CJ seems as you have a talent for making awesome eyecandy images!

SpecialEddie: Very realistic, I like! 9/10 Glenni: Nice image but a little bland. Still a 7/10 dosomthin90210: Very colourful! The photo effects seem a bit over the top at first, but after looking at it for a few seconds it's actually a really good image. 8/10 Shadow_prophet: I'm not a fan of heaps of different bridges lined up againsed each other. Looks strange but I know where your coming from about the monorail bridge so... 6/10 dosomthin90210: I think I like your other one a little more. 7/10 mrbisonm: 9GB of pulgins and I can still see heaps of Maxis buildings ...Infact almost all buildings are Maxis. That river on the other hand is AMAZING! So very realistic and the forrest looks great too! 9.5/10 Elaclairee: Very dark, I like it! 8.5/10 Shadow_prophet: I'm not a fan of Sci-Fi BAT's (just my opinion, not saying it's bad) and it looks like Wren Insurance is taking over your city! Nice photo effects though! 7.5/10 dosomthin90210: Looks very Dubaish! I'll go a 6/10 because I'm sure there's still a lot that can be done eg, more park areas and a proper beach.

At this stage I'd been playing SimCity4 for about 2 years but I didn't even know you could get custom content! (I'd never even been to Simcity.ea.com or simtropolis.com) and one day I randomly onpened one of my citys and about half of all the deflut Maxis buildings had brown boxes on the lots. I closed down the game, reset my computer and the problems went away and never came back. I would reccomend you tidy up your plugins folder though just to be sure.

Very excited today! Had some great luck today on the plugins front discovering 2 new major things that will help me a lot with my re-creation. The first was the Dat-packer! I can't believe I never got this before, It totally pimp'd my plugins folder from about 2.5GB down to 2GB and reduced my total load time from desktop to large city from about 10min to only 2min and no more simulation stopping ect! Not one problem with it either. Second is something that I may have had on my computer for ages but I never even knew about. There's an optional box in the NAM installer that lets your city produce more car/sim props running around your city than ever before so I can finally have a realistic amount of inner city traffic for Hong Kong. Doing heaps more work now I've got the extra game speed. Here's more of Hong Hom, the district on the western side on the peninsular. Afternoon Rush Hour Traffic, Hong Hom... CLICK FOR FULL IMAGE Here's the nightlife on the corner on HongKong's Kowloon Park. And an overview of the whole of the Hong Hom district. Look at that traffic on those highways! CLICK FOR FULL IMAGE This is an example some of the busy, high rise, low wealth housing estates that you will find in Hong Hom. Also toady, i made some major building changes to the central skyline over on Hong Kong island. Now the buildings are much more realistic to the real life ones on Hong Kong Island (Think blue glass towers). I also removed the lower quality BAT's from behind the Lippo and replaced them with good quality Ill Tonkso BAT's. Also updated the theam park (under construction area) with a few more rides. CLICK FOR FULL IMAGE CLICK FOR FULL IMAGE Trying out a new sunburst effect. Also I've made a new Hong Kong Island Star Ferry! Seeya later! Thanks for stopping by!

Hey guys, I'm looking for these 3 BAT's. I know that there probably on the Japanese sites (and I've had a good look but I can't find them), so please don't just say 'check the Japanese sites'. Any help in the form of direct links would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, I post to much on this thread... anyway Shadow_prophet: Looks like an alright city but where did that giant tower come from 6/10. I'd try and lower the level of the city. Elaclaire: Cool photo effects and looks like a great little town. 8.5/10 belfastuniguy: That's amazing! You must put so much time into your cities to produce something like that. 9.5/10 just for effort alone. Did some major updates to HK harbour today... ---LINK TO MY IMAGE, DONT MISS IT! TO BIG FOR SIMTROPOLIS---

Great job with that airport! I wonder what would happen it those planes got sand in their engines...
-
Shinkansen1: Yes, this one is alot better! I alwaly like anything with the Regal Theater in it (One of my favourite BAT's). I'll give this a 7.5/10 Godzillaman: It's in reverse colours, not really a good effect. Would have been 8/10 (for the city with no effects) )but that brings it down to 4/10
-
All of those mosaics are amazing, seariously. You sure know how to make a city look good.
-
Man that's good quality! Great start. My only sugestion would be to use less roads and more streets. Also the two last pictures in the last update are oversized (900x650 pixels). You may be asked by a mod to re-size to 600x800.
-
That interchange looks great! My sugestion would be to fill up the center with gardens rarther then just plain grass.
-
TheSixCents: Very nice! I really like how you did this one. 9.5/10 Elaclairee: Not too bad, I like the building style 7.5/10 Ilikehotdogsalot: Nice and colourful yes, but not your best photoshoping. Still very good 8/10 Amerikaner: Nice job. Very realistic looking 8/10 belfastuniguy: Woah, you put alot of work into that didn't you! I'd change some of the buildings in the downtown 9/10 shinkansen1: Some of those BAT's look very strange. Nice city on the whole but alot of things just look out of place 4.5/10 Shadow_prophet: ...10/10! Those photo effects are some of the best I've ever seen. Great, amazing city building skills too! A realistic Hong Kong inner city block. CLICK FOR FULL IMAGE

Wow simfox! NICE JOB. That red/green/blue/yellow tower that you've got there looks great! Could fit quite nicely into any city around the world, and that Russian building, wow. Looks intimidating in real life but your version is coming along very nicely. Keep up the fantastic work.

I've been updating the general Kowloon area again and here are some more in progress shots. Some of the most densely populated areas in the world! Here's some updated dense Kowloon livin'... And here's the area at night. Some of the upper parts of the peninsular. The skyline seems to be dominated by the new Langham Place tower. Hong Kong blocks! CLICK FOR FULL IMAGE Here's a mosaic of the Far East Finance Center area. That's all, thanks for stopping by guys.

Wow, that last picture is very nice! I like how you put those pine trees arround the waterfront getting rid of the need for sea walls. Great job!
