I've noticed a little bug in this- when you try to plop any other building around this BAT, that new building just disappears and you are left with an empty lot that can't be demolished (Am I the only one experiencing this problem? I tried it out with nothing else in my plugins folder except for this). The model looks alright though, not really to my taste but still good.

Oh wow... Pacific place just looks incredible. I gotta hand it to you, that is one amazing render and it's not even finished yet. Love all the reflections in the glass, just adds to the realism of the thing ten fold, keep it up! -

Yea, just playing around with some new geometry... The 'lollypop' thinks are in fact meant to be radar domes and the 'stonehenge-lookalike thingies'.... well I think I saw them on some buildings roof somewhere and I just wanted to put them in. For some reason I decided to put some palm trees on the roof, they're very fun to BAT (not really sure why, probably because they don't have to be perfect), also hung some Chinese Lanterns from a wire between them. Oh yea and LOL! Never thought I'd see one of my BAT's end up here...?

Opinion(s) on whether to buy the Prima Strategy Guide book
Cockatoo replied to nemesis_dex123's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
RCI is an abbreviation for the three demand types in SC4. R= Residential Demand (green), C= Commercial Demand (blue) and I= Industrial demand (yellow). The main idea is to try and keep an even balance between them by building the zone type that has the most demand and holding off on the type that has the least (or even negative demand) until the demand goes up again. -

Which city has the best architechural style?
Cockatoo replied to crazyyaya's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
In my opinion the three top cities in the world would be: New York, Shanghai (or HK) and for some reason I really like those crazy casino buildings in Las Vegas baby! -

bomber991, So you're being a jerk just for the sake of being different but you think it looks excellent? If you say 'excellent' and then give it an OK hand signal, then what word would you have to use for two thumbs up? And yes, thanks for the help with the wrong spelling for growable in my description, although I thought they were called typos not types.... moving on.

Hi Guys, not really much of an update today.I've just been updating the Central Plaza area a little bit and added one of my own HK BAT's to add more realism. Here's the new pics: CLICK FOR FULL IMAGE CLICK FOR FULL IMAGE Replies in next update.

Hey thanks for the replies and feedback guys! AsianEvolusioner, great to hear that you're gonna be getting back into BAT! And as for the roof texture, it's too late for this BAT but I'll use that in the future. And T Wrecks, point taken, I'll remember to make props for my BAT's. It's up on the SETX now by the way... https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=18905

Well I'm gonna start rendering now (Sorry for the bad Draft Renders). The models all done now and should be up on the SETX by tomorrow. Oh yea, see the palm tree- I think I'm starting to get the hang of the geometry thing now. Make sure you have a look at the full image:

Realistic Volcanos. Something that looks like Mt. St Helans (Not like the ones in SC4 with strange looking red stuff coming out of a small hill)

Well, It can't all be the dirty back street buildings from the 1960's can it. Here's another one of my little projects, The HongKong Immigration Tower (That's the tower with the big PHILIPS sign on the roof that you see from Tsim Sha Tsui). I Hope to release this one tomorrow or on Monday. Here it is in real life, but because it's right in the middle of a massive jungle of skyscrapers (and right next to Central Plaza) it’s really hard to find good reference pictures of the whole buildings! I've had to build up a mental map in my head of the building by just looking at little bits of the thing- as well as the little illustration at skyscraperpage.com. And here's my BAT, just got a little texturing left to do on the body and the base:

Well I'm kinda happy with the way this one is turning out. The amount of time I've spent on the front wall is stupid but it's defiantly the most detailed BAT of the pack so far and probably the most realistic looking to (It's actually based on two real life different buildings in the Jordan area and a building from SC3K all crossed together and mixed in with a bit of my own stuff.) Still alot more to do though, I'm setting a deadline for release of this pack by at least Christmas day. Once this is done in a few days that'll be 3 / 8 or so BAT's done. Got any feedback? Oh yea, And I put togther an image of how the pack's looking as a whole so far. Ofcourse Yau Ma Tei currency exchange will fit in as an extra.

Cockatoo replied to tankmank's topic in SC4 City Journals
I just looked through this CJ (Haven't visited in a while...) and I have to say there were a few Images that just left me thinking wow... You're city building skills are really good man- always mixed in with great transportation systems and cool custom content. And then there's the photoshoping... http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/5449/torightcity21apr1511179eb8.jpg THAT IMAGE WAS AWESOME MAN! Probably my favourite of the whole CJ, your Simapore City looks really cool too, I think that every city you build greatly improves your skills (what I'm trying to say is that Simapore is probably the best update of this CJ) Keep this awesome CJ up dude, I'll have to try to drop in more often! -
Guys, it's his first post- go easy eh? It dosen't really matter if it's all in caps.... Anyways, I think this is the latest version of what you're looking for. Hope this helps. https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=17670

Just playing around with some new textures. Trying to make this look as realistic as possible. If I made the air-conditioners any smaller they would look tiny in SC4. They're 1m high x 1m wide x 2m long... I've seen bigger.

Oh, THAT's MY BAT! Thanks man- this is the first time I've seen one of my BAT's used by someone other than me. Tankmank and lerist, all very nice! First pic by tankmank looks very similar to my city building style actually, keep up the great images! -
