  1. I have been watching Skye Storme let’s play fantastic stuff. I agree the Game looks really good hopefully after two years since we had the SimCity13 release we have a game that should have been.
  2. new game Cities XXL

I have a question. How much did they pay you for this? Aren't you ashamed for promoting this game? Aren't you ashamed that people may spend their money on this thing because of you? All you showed was nice views because thats all there is to it in this game, nice views. Problems starts when you want some gameplay. It's the same game for the 4th time, THE EXACT SAME GAME. I wouldn't be exited even if it would be a free patch, yet they ask 40$ for it. Have some self respect and don't buy it, people. The only positive review on Steams speaks for itself: Wow just watched quill18 review the stuttering low FPS are still all there, looks like a patch at best with community Mods attached that you have to pay for. Agree you can get some great screen shots in this series. However I know why the info on this game pre release was kept to a bare minimum. 3. Simcity 2013 at one year.

I also believe the game is playable or a lot more since release, and I do believe that EA has redeemed them self slightly especially since the ability to play offline. I have come back to playing after 10 months or so. Thank to the patches and the great tips etc from Skye Storme . Plus there seems to be some good Mods coming out as well. Still greatest drawback is the City size which was a game design flaw or limitation of either Glassbox or the Multiplayer aspect of the game?
  4. is complexity always evil?

"Moskowitz said that although SimCity was designed to be a deep simulation, Maxis found over and over that making the game less complex made it more fun"........Oh dear no wonder less complex is badly broken. not holding much hope of the game ever being fixed after reading this. Wow just Wow
  5. Anyone else lost interest?

Yes StoNe220022 if they fix the numerous bugs and only then I would be prepared to pay for a DLC for larger city sizes. This game I believe comes close to being very good. Early on in a city’s development the bugs are not all that noticeable. Unfortunately due to lack of play testing of the game it fails on so many levels as you progress in population, you realise and after investing hours in a city as your population hits certain levels you get the bottle necks with the bugs making the game impossible to play. Then watch all your work go backwards as the games AI fails. Yes certain tricks can keep you going but even then eventually it all comes grinding to a halt and having regional neighbours will not help your city as this too is currently broken. Map sizes on a completely fixed or vastly improved game would also increase the game play and its longevity and I would pay for it (after all this was always going to be Maxis after sales strategy on the vanilla game hell look at the Sims 1,2 and 3 even SimCity 4 has an add on !
  6. Anyone else lost interest?

The game could be great and I would be happy to pay for DLC that gave you bigger city sizes (The maps feel like the sizes of towns in Sims 3!) I am another who has stopped playing over a week ago…after a 100 hours plus, to many bugs the game is currently broken IMO the bigger your population gets the more you see how bad the AI is and as for regional play even in private mode it is not working as intended. In SC4 I played for five months straight at least four times a week and have played for 10 years on and off…..SC2013 10 days and I’m out. I do really hope it might be fixed with patch updates and mods I will keep checking back for updates and hope the game can be polished back into a playable state. I Might give it a try over Easter Break as a town simulator Keep each city under 30K or so? Cities In Motion 2 I might get after release….. One lesson I have learnt from SC2013
  7. I have been enjoy playing simcity over the last few days it’s a great game IMO. the only real problem I had was just recently was kicked out of my game on serverOceanic 1 after playing for about 40 minutes. I Keep on getting a message loin Closed Although it shows Oceanic1 available???? I can log onto other servers ok, but that is pointless as you cannot load the game you have invested 20 hours or more in. MAJOR FLAW. Dont want to start a new game EA want to play the one I have worked on for 8 hours plus.
  8. I had the same problem with my High School maybe it’s a glitch as Students were clearing go in, but maybe the counter was not working like it Did For Primary Schools? My technical college had students…Do not have any other universities etc.
  9. Introduce Yourself Here!

BudgieSimBoy 50 year old From Australia Woops should have posted this here before my first post. Sim City the first game that really grabbed me back in the day on the Olde Amiga 500 ! I have followed the series ever since must admit stopped playing Sim City 4 some five years ago. Played a bit of Cities XL 2011 (It was ok but did it was not Sim City) Hope the new re boot is good fun to play…now if someone could reboot Transport Tycoon (Cities In Motion’s comes Close) you will make an old Man very happy.
  10. I found this video very informative and enjoyed it very much, we got a good insight into the “soul “of the new SimCity good to see Will Wright has enjoyed playing it also. As someone who played will first Sim City back in the day on my Amiga 500, I remember how it drained the hours away, before you knew it was 2.00 am. Been a big fan of this series and glad it has come back after 10 years, I am looking forward to the new game in some ways it will be totally different experience to the previous four, As long as it is fun and Judging by the Beta videos posted on YouTube it looks that way to me.
