Hello everyone, I like to show you a project I'm working on for a long time: Cibuga It is a city building game in with you are free to customize the look of every building. Simtropolis was a kind of inspiration for this game. It is satisfying to just browse through the custom creations the members submitted and look at the awesome work. The idea was to make the integration in a game much easier and make it also a part of the game. Cibuga gives you the freedom to design a new skin for a building and easy build houses other player created with a single click. No recourse packs, no dependencies. To make this more accessible to a wider range of creators we use voxel graphics. The second main feature is a multiplayer part. Visit other cities, trade resources and form a team to build together another city on a huge multiplayer map. So there is a single player map for your own city and a multiplayer map. You are not forced to play with others. It runs in your browser. What do you think? How you like the look? The about text: Cibuga is a city building game. Start in the middle of nowhere a new town in this multiplayer online game. Gather resources and construction material. Build streets and houses. Provide your growing city with water, food, safety, health, power and much more. Expand your city and connect with other players to trade resources. This indie project is still in development. A test stage is coming soon. Some screenshots:

Hello everyone. I'm not very good at this game even though I've been playing for years and I require a little help please. I'd like to know if it's possible to build a completely Dirty Industrial city? I remember seeing a picture of one somewhere a long time ago (don't know where now). And since I've been playing my unmodded Steam version of SC4 Deluxe a lot more lately, I've been trying to build one with ample power and garbage dumps for my neighbouring cities. Ironically, the main problem I'm having is DI doesn't want to come in at all!. I started with a little growth at first but it stopped and won't' start again. I read here that you need low wealth uneducated Sims to attract DI and have achieved and maintained this with little effect. It seemed to work at first but not any longer...Dirty Industry has no interest at all in developing in my new city even with taxes set to 0%! I just don't know why I can't get it to grow anymore. It's become very frustrating since DI is supposed to be the easiest industry to attract from what I've been reading. If I can't get it to grow I won't be able to make my purely DI city and that might just be the straw that breaks the camel's back. I'm just not very good with this game...can't get skyscrapers to build...everything I do leads to stagnation...I love playing it but can't seem to get it to work like many others do. Anyway, I'm not complaining just trying to find out a few answers (if there are any) to my little problem before I become too frustrated and abandon it again, lol. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

So, I've just finished a completely unrelated project, and I'm looking for something to do. I REALLY love SimCity 3k and SimCity 4. I'd like to look into making a city builder. I've got a few questions, and I'm open to suggestions. 1.) Do you guys prefer SimCity 3000 style isometric, or the off center style of SimCity 4? I tend toward the SimCity 3000 style, as I find it easier to understand depth and place things. My artist prefers the other style on aesthetic grounds. 2.) How important is multiplayer? How should that work? 3.) How do you guys feel about testing some alpha/beta software when I've got it? Cheers

Hi All, Finally, after a long development time CitiesCorp Concept has been released on Steam. The past few weeks were focusing on implementing resolution support, music, debugging and fine-tuning. At this stage, the game should be stable, but in case you find a bug, just let me know. Initially, I've been thinking to launch the game as Early Access, even the game is ready as it is, in order to outline the meaning of "Concept" = the development in not over, because city building is still a developing genre in my point of view; given there will be sufficient interest from the community and it will stay affordable for me to keep it developing, the idea was to implement new features step by step. However, Steam suggested to not to publish it as EA (OK, I did not want to commit to clear development milestones and this is probably mismatching their definition - why I did not commit, because there are too many ideas and I would like to see what the players like or dislike and based on that to make a new priority list). So, I really hope you will like it, don't be too harsh with me when reviewing the game and have fun. Thanks for following this project - I really appreciate that. And now, enjoy the trailer (short version for the lazy ones)!!!

I just saw on Cities XL's facebook page that they are making Cites XXL. Here is their little blurb: What do you all think of this? Personally, I think this is too good to be true. --Ocram
