Date: 1/17/2006 6:08:41 PM Author: GoaSkin As far as I know you can move existing menus into other menus. To do it, it may be go that way: create a tool exemplar (like on zone tools, network tools etc.)! Use the submenuKey setting there for the SubmenuKey of the mother menu and set the icon and comment parameters! Now, look in the menu UI file where the menu button is placed you're going to move! Look on the properties and note the button ID! Now, go back to the newly created exemplar and change the setting Item button ID to the noted ID. That's it. You can only use zone- and network menus to add submenus because the submenu keys for police, hospitals, scools, fire, landmark and reward menus are still unknown. You can add submenus to the zone menus, network menus and sanitation menus. We found out that there are two unused menus in SC4. If we add them to an UI file, they're empty. We don't know how to fill them because the submenukeys and occupant groups are still unknown. quote> can you or someone else translate this into $%&^! speak, or point me in the direction of a thread or tutorial please

SG, i recently dl'ed your Mathew Keenan Townhomes and i noticed that two of them appear in my parks menu. i looked at the included files and didnt see anything about ploppables and was wondering which file to remove so they dont show up in my already cluttered parks menu. btw...im lovin the new water towers, they add a great deal of realism to smaller communities

im pretty sure its a simgoober production...i myself dont use cheats and occasionally get this when i make alot of money early on(relative to whatever parameters this has set)...ive placed the monkey in many of my cities, mostly to fill in empty spaces, and i have noticed no ill effects. as to which lot exactly this is included in i have no idea...maybe a post on the BSC or SimGoober thread might get you an answer

just remember that one mans ceiling is another mans floor. just cuz u dont like it doesnt mean it shouldnt be there. monitoring or censoring certain lots is the first step to dampening the creativity of the great members here. however since we are sorta on the subject, am i the only one who has noticed the this entire site has slowed to almost a crawl the last couple days. it now regularly takes over a minute for most pages to load. maybe its just me, but im not having any problems with any other sites i visit.

Tolomar you are quite right about freighters being just eye candy...i tried a little experiment where i put a seaport between 2 bridges, both lower then the required ferry height and the freighters crossed under them...after doing a little fiddling with the height i found a height that was both asthetically pleasing and the freighters passed under instead of through thx for the input guys, if i run into any complications with the lower height ill let yall know

now kids, behave as far as uploading the map, it cant be done on the stex, however, if you posted a pic of the region, people might be interested and you could email them a copy of the region folder. i know its alot of trouble to go, but if you really want to share this is the only way i could think of

Wots your favorit New York City building is.
ten1902 replied to Astroman's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
Duke87 as a semi-newyorker how you stand behind such a sacreligious project as the freedom tower back to topic...chrysler building is the prettiest from far away but when youre across the street looking at it, nothin can hold a candle to the flatiron building(not even Atlantas cheap knock-off, also named the flatiron building) -

personally i dont necessarily see a problem with a 'welcome newbie' thread, but i think that since this thread has kinda strayed from its original intentions, this might not be the best place to welcome newcomers. as far as the star is concerned, i think that an optional designation from new-posters or newbies is a great idea. however there might be a few people hesitant to be designated as somehow different by being adorned with a star. im sure that you did not intentionally use the same designation for newbies as that which was used in nazi germany for the jews, but some people might see it that way. maybe im looking too much into this and if i am i apologize, just voicing a different point of view
