Well I was looking thru the topic but stopped at around page 12 when I realised this thread was pretty big. Are there any parking under bridge scenery, or plans for any?

Not a traditional restricted access highway... more like an SC4 Avenue, but is listed as Highway M11 (28th Street). This highway stretches from Grand Rapid's furthest SW suburbs, skirting along the souther edge of Grand Rapids proper, and continues on to the easternmost suburbs. The whole stretch in its entirety is 90% commercial suburban sprawl, with each lot having 1-2 entrances/exits onto the road. Not to mention the road is 5 lanes (2 in each direction with central turning lane) If you ever want to turn left onto the road at any time of the day, you will spend several minutes just trying to get into the turning lane, and another minute getting out of the turning lane and into the proper lane. This corridor is several tens of miles long, and the entire corridor is like this. It's not quite at parking lot status, but definately within dangerous status. There's several accidents daily along this road. Not to mention driving it is sure to give a headache.

Good lord you're a machine! O_O A new project just got proposed in my hometown this morning, and it reminded me of some of your BATs, with the large abundance of new urbanism. Maybe it'll provide some inspiration for another building? Here's some shots: ( http://www.urbanplanet.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=29863&st=0entry538863 ) I really look forward to seeing some of these finished off and released... they're looking excellent

Is there any possibility that additional street bridges could be made? Even if copied versions od existing road bridges? A covered bridge makes more sense for a street than a road, and I could easilly picture that stone arched bridge holding a street as well.

Moreover the excessive requests for st. louis buildings are drowning our other requests further decreasing the chances they will ever be made. If there was a report post button on these forums, I would have reported every last post you made within the past 2 pages.

Here's one that should be relatively simple. A Torii (the Japanese red gate) that's transit-enabled to have a street or road running underneath it. A good example of this is: Another suggestiong is, for any of you who have played Shenmue 2, those gates that were used between quarters. A transit enabled version of that ike the above would be cool too, but I just hope at least one of these can be made. The first honestly shouldn't be too difficult to do I'd imagine.

I think I recall finding a directory in the program's files filled with (wav, aiff?) files of the commercials, possibly even the music too. Unfortunately, out of all the CDs I have ever owned, that is the ONE cd I've somehow managed to completely lose =[ I miss it so much. =[

Really nice looking.. I can't wait to use these in my mid-sized cities

I tried the same once. I wanted a riot so I created a High-Density city with no police, no water, no fire, no hospital, and no ordinances. Oddly enough, my mayor rating remained in the Green. o_O whatever.

There's a few things which I have found surprising that they do not exist in the STEX (or at least I cannot find them). Most are fairly simple, although a few are a bit more complex. 1) Underbrush and small Bushes. I'd like to create a forest/prairie mix region with dirt footpaths leading between areas, much like the paths seen in the Haalu CJ, but this proves impossible due to the lack of dense forest and plains weeds, bushes, and underbrush. 2) Volcanic Ash. Not surprising that it doesn't exist... but I would love to design an area which is covered in a fresh layer of volcanic ash. 3) Fires, flames, rubble, smouldering areas, and small plumes of smoke as plantable trees 4) More roman structures and tribal structures =D 5) Amway Grand Plaza, Grand Rapids An iconic mid/hi-rise in Grand Rapids. Just a simple google image search of "amway grand plaza" provides great results, many of the west side of the building. The back (east) has no special details to it other than the attached Pantlind Hotel. Here's a shot from the NW side of the building: 6) Calder Plaza in Grand Rapids (Although the one I've never seen before in Chicago looks appealing as well). The 3-storey sculpture at the centre of the plaza was the first city-funded public art project in the US, during the urban renewal age. A google search of "calder plaza" grants good pictures of both the Grand Rapids one (titled "Le Grande Vitesse") and the Chicago one. What's more is the entire plaza and buildings surrounding the plaza were designed with the sculpture, to provide contrast. The surrounding buildings are plain, ugly, curvless structures with little to no colour, designed to contrast and provide a backdrop enhancing the orange-red sculpture designed only with curves at the center. Finding pictures of the plaza as a whole would prove difficult, however. (Best image would be on Google Earth.. and getting ahold of even a glimpse of the side of any building in the plaza provides enough detail to design the whole building, however.) The top of a smaller building in the plaza also has a calder-designed mural on the roof. (The Plaza is actually named Vandenburg Plaza, with Le Grande Vitesse being designed by Calder as well as the whole of the plaza, and is more well known under the false name of "Calder Plaza") Le Grande Vitesse (Also I have many photos I took of the plaza in: http://www.tsukigawa.net/categories.php?cat_id=137 Just look for the iconic red sculpture in the pictures. =] Maybe a few of the other pictures may provide inspiration for other buildings as well. =])

Loss of water and instant population loss for no reason?
tSlater replied to dmlow's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I'm having this issue right now, which I can replicate time and again. I suspect some mod may be cause a problem, I've never had problems before, just added a bunch of mods, and now in one of my cities (haven't tried any others yet) once the next month hits, my water consumption skyrockets in my graphs, and no matter how many more pumps I add, the consumption will always meet whatever capacity I have. I can fix it by tripling my number of pipes so that all tiles are within 3 tiles from a pipe, but that's expensive and a pain. Very frustrated. -
I know there are uglier out there, but this is still pretty ugly. Moreso for the fact that it is sitting on prime riverfront property, it's frikkin huge, and looks like a giant windows box with an ugly 60s thing just slapped onto the front end. Not to mention the trash chute on the side facing the river. Here's to hoping they relocate that dump and redevelop that whole property. There's a riverwalk going down the side of the building, could make for some great riverfront boardwalk-style retail, and would be a great location for some condos.
