  1. Compact Air Purification Plant

Am finding this to be a very useful lot - many thanks from all my Sims no longer suffering traffic fumes! They definitely vote you a 10!
  2. The Simoleon Trees

Have only just got around to creating a new "sandbox" region in which to use the Simoleon trees - many thanks for these, Altx!
  3. New Zealand Region

---------------- On 1/11/2004 9:47:06 PM das8929 wrote: Isnt Ruapehu an active volcano??---------------- Yes, it is - and it threw an eruption only a few years back - a search on the web should bring you up some good pics. Also, there is a lake in the volcano crater - temperature varies over the years, there have been times when it people would swim in the lake while there was snow all around the rim. I think at present it is way too hot. A major worry is that within a couple of years this lake will probably break through part of the rim and cause a massive lahar, similar to or bigger than the one on Christmas Eve 1953 which so damaged the rail bridge at Tangiwae that the train from Wellington to Auckland, about 10.30pm that night, crashed into the river, with horrendous loss of lives.
  4. New Zealand Region

---------------- On 1/6/2004 5:38:37 AM Dippit wrote: This is a great region! Although the Mayor is right, it looks nothing like New Zealand! But that doesn't matter, it's great to see a region that uses New Zealand place names. Keep up the good work!---------------- Come to think of it, my family would sure love to have that snowcapped mountain so close to the city of Auckland - so much closer for ski trips than the five hour drive down to Mt Ruapehu
  5. New Zealand Region

I can only assume that your region depicts New Zealand after a REALLY massive earthquake that has drastically rearranged the country's whole geography! Just for starters, last time I saw it the Waikato River emptied into the Tasman Sea on the western side of the North Island - the Pacific Ocean washes the eastern shores!
  6. Nexis Private HopFarm

Very nice addition to the farm lots - thank you!
  7. Mayors Memorial Park

Sorry for my tardiness, gshmails, have only just managed to get back to download the update with the female statue - many thanks, much appreciated! And don't worry - this grandmother won't tell on you to your mom :)
  8. Mayors Memorial Park

gshmails - Hey, many thanks - will check back on Monday - and I hope the JETS won for you!
  9. Community Sports Complex

The ideal sportsground combination I'd been wishing for - many thanks :)
  10. Mayors Memorial Park

This is great and will be a neat addition to my long established cities - but may I ask you to also make (pretty pretty please?) a version with the female mayor's statue?
  11. Larger Nice Park

I'm into collecting nice parks - looks good - I don't rate until after I've used, so will be back to do so:)
  12. Super Cash Park

Great idea! I did enjoy the old pre-RH "sandbox" region for experimentation - now with this new lot I will be able to start a new region - just delete the cash park in each city as soon as it has delivered the 4 million simoleans and there's my new "sandbox"! Thank you, Stardog :)
  13. RAIN!!! I made rain!

This is a feature that EA wants to make money off of, from a different expansion pack. It was probably left in the .dats by accident, like some of the beta editing tools Tropod found a while back. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a lot more terraforming tools that WERN'T left in, like the ability to choose your terrain type, different flora sets (tundra, winter, desert, jungle), etc. My guess is Maxis and EA have a terrain/weather related expansion in the works.---------------- I'm already drooling at the prospect

My Sims: Cuz it's in their best interests to cross-promote their games. If they're giving away RH for nearly free, they gotta make their money somewhere... ---------------- Here in New Zealand RH cost $49.95, the same as each of the eps for The Sims, which converted to US dollars means we had to pay over twice as much - but I still think it was worth it !! An overall rating of 9/10 for me.
  15. Introduce Yourself Here!

Well I seem to be by far the oldest of those "coming out" on this thread - I'll be 71 this weekend - guess I must be the forum's Granny! Born in London, but have lived in New Zealand since 1957. My computer experience goes back to the Commodore 20 and my first Maxis game was Sim Earth. Love "The Sims" and have all the ex packs except Living Large. Play other types of game as well but am not into shoot-em-ups or driving games. It's great to see what a wide area of the world is represented on these forums. I've been retired for over 10 years but the last 18 years of my working life was with the local Council - but no, not as the Mayor
