    I never liked the in-game palm trees, and it was always difficult to make a more temperate city. This will make it much easier, thanks!

    Depends if the militants have the right skills to crack another military's system. You're right though, it's possible.

    Did you put it into your plugins folder? If you didn't, it won't show up in game. There is actually a discussion thread for bugs and problems with this mod, it can be found here.

    Yeah, sorry, edited the message above. The textures are there, but can only be placed in unzoned or agricultural zoned areas only. also important: IMPORTANT: Make sure that those files load AFTER the NAM, by placing them in an appropiate folder. None of the original Trolca´s street mod must be installed for this mod to work. This mod is not compatible with the Diagonal Dirty Streets_Simplified Version. If you have it installed, remove it before installing this one. If you place a plopable lot of any type near a dirty street, the standart streets textures will show. There is actually no satisfactory way to fix this

    More likely than not, the texture pack simply doesn't have the textures available for that type of street layout. I have the same mod, and I know exactly where you're coming from. It's just a case that diagonal street textures weren't made for this mod. edit: sorry, wrong mod. I visited the file you were referring to, however, and found that: This version allows dirty textured streets in the unzoned, farming and garbage areas only. The rest of zones and wealths will always show the standar street textures. Hope this helps

  12. Abuse of the STEX?

    People create viruses for two purposes: 1. To completley mess up your system for their own entertainment, and 2. To use the virus to scan your system for any personal information (ie: address, phone #, personal info, ect.) and send it via internet connection to their system. There you have identity theft or internet predators. Also spyware can be a very big problem. On the STEX, I haven't come across anything that seems to have malicious code embedded into the file, and I don't expect to see it anytime soon. The only problem I have ever come across with files from the STEX are ones that conflict with other plugins or the game itself, which is easily fixable.

    Yea, I seem to find airports the most daunting part of replicating realism in the game. Looking at some airport's aerials could help you as I found them to be. I took me awhile, but I finally got what I wanted. Good luck!

    Maybe the problem isn't commute time. Could the problem be from residence's wealth? Let's say, you have a R$$$ population of 500. If the commercial and industrial zones have only R$$ and R$ jobs available, they will abandon. By the way, is there some way you could make your pic a little larger because the problem's not very distinctive from the pic you posted. Thanks. (Again, if you dont have the NAM, plz download it, it will cut your commute times way down as well as giving a perfect pathfinding option at your disposal.) edit: So you're still getting abandonment? OK, NAM's obviously not solving the problem, it's probably wealth indifferences.

    If you haven't done so, download the NAM, it's one of THE most useful tools for the game. You can get so much more from the game from this one download, it's a lifesaver, let me tell ya It can be found here.

    It's a very good start, but I agree with tcxalapa, the texture is kinda plain. But keep working on it, it looks great so far

  21. They just don't know how to walk like normal people do. My shortest commute time right now is about 19 minutes in a city of about 210K.

    Do you mean to change just the grassy texture or the entire terrain texturing itself? If you do, then there are many textures available on the STEX, the best ones I'd have to say are from Cycledogg. I use his Missouri Breaks Terrain Mod in my cities. That one can be found here.

  25. No freakin' way. I can't believe what I'm seeing! (goes to wash out his eyes with visine...) Nope, still there. You have got to be THE best transportation BATer I have ever seen!! Can't wait to see it finished! ETA: July 22, 2006 That means that: 48 days from June 5th, it will be done. A bit excessive don't you think?
