Galanos Teaser #1

I've gotten a little bored with New Chandler City and started work on Galanos for New Chandler III. You may remember the version in NC 2.0 from way back in January of 2011. This Galanos is going to look completely different and it's going to not look as "perfected" or "pulchritudinous" as that (as in, it's not going to be a bunch of rich businesses and palm tree lined avenues), but more like a realistic city. It's looking to be a kind of a combination of San Clemente City and Rockaway at the moment. This...

Galanos Metro Map

The big update is coming in about 36 hours. I'm making a last-minute change of plans on my Simlympic Park because, unlike last year, I don't have a working lot editor, so it will probably have to be a last-minute bid too, which I didn't exactly want, but I am positive it will make the due date of the afternoon of September 1. Anyway I've been working on this thing for a while. It's an accurate map of the Galanos Subway. It's a 3105x2377 .png. Probably will require some loading Enjoy!

I wasn't expecting to ever get to the 50 Update milestone, but here I am. And what better way to celebrate it then driving through New Chandler City, as half of the previous updates have focused on the general area of New Chandler City. That hasn't been a trend that has carried over to New Chandler III (NCIII is Update 30 and forward if you're wondering) but I figured it's fitting to focus on some highways in the biggest city of the journal. By the way, for all of you who have commented from my journal...

East Doherty

Here's a quick glimpse at the eastern part of the Doherty city proper. The previous two suburbs, Carla Vista and Murray City, were also to the east, but we are now in the city proper. We'll start in the southwest and move toward the east from there. This is part of White Harbor, a small port on a river (rare, because Doherty is on a peninsula - most open out toward the sea). Industrial area above White Harbor. Continuing upriver. There's some condos here... St. Francis University is a small private college...

In the last update, a vote was decided on whether we would drive toward Carla Vista, or toward the airport. Most of you voted for the airport, so here we go Note about the pictures: south is still the top of the picture, like last time. There's sometimes some arrows to help you out which direction we are going, because we will be going up, down, left, and right Also, remember that I use no traffic mods, only the most basic NAM traffic enhancer. There are some areas that won't have much traffic (the airport...

Driving in New Chandler City

If any of you remember the Spaulding teaser (not sure when that was, probably last year), the same thing happened to this one. I got bored with rural areas and wanted to go back to east New Chandler City. Originally this was supposed to be a voting entry but I kind of made the decision on my own, so we can be optimized for a good, long drive for update 50, because entry 50 has to be awesome, and I wanted to show off two colleges I had These driving entries are also a sort of tribute to TekindusT's Taxi...

Driving Down Highway 19

Replies are on the previous update, enjoy this one! It covers three large city tiles! It's been a while since we've driven around a city in New Chandler. Let's get on Highway 19 at Athens Avenue eastbound, toward Murray City. (we will be driving from the right of your screen to the left) Going under Laurelhusrt Park Avenue here. A Doherty Metro line goes by here too. Knott Street was frequently traveled last week as St. Francis University hosted some Simlympic quailfying matches. You saw the college on the...

Districts of Doherty

Before I start this entry, I just want to warn you that there was a of construction going on, especially downtown, when I took the pictures for this entry. Sorry if this bothers you as much as it bothers me. The last time we saw Doherty, I didn't explain too much. However, like any city in Pelham, the cultures here are very diverse. Lets start near White University. Now we move to a wealth part of town near the university called the Mango District. People named it that only because of the orange roofs, and...

Jealousy, turning saints into the sea, Swimming through sick lullabies, Choking on your alibis. But it's just the price I pay, Destiny is calling me, Open up my eager eyes Cause I'm Mr. Brightside -The Killers The last time we visited Darlington City, we only visited one thin side of it. We're now going to see both the downtown and the side we previously saw.... both in daylight. We'll start in familiar territory with the airport. The power plant. Now we're in new content, starting with the Posilliponian...

Computer issues

As you have probably noticed, I have been gone for quite a while. I have missed a lot of important things (especially with the COFR) and haven't updated my journal in weeks. YES, this journal IS still alive! However, at the moment, my computer is having some problems (and not all of it revolves around SC4 can you believe it ). I have shipped it to..... somewhere..... and at the moment they are still dealing with it, according to the Toshiba tracking site. The entire New Chandler city journal, all of the...

Thanks for all of your comments JGellock: I hate that station too, everything you see there is about two years old actually ----- Here's about half of Doherty-East Pelham International Airport. This is subject to change and it already looks different from when you're seeing it. It's a pretty big panorama (4980x768) so it will probably take a while to load, even on the better connections, so I'm giving all of the forums a link to it instead of putting it in [ img ] tags. I promise, I'll have the regular...

Come Fly With Me...

Happy New Year to all of you, here's a little bit of work I've done on Doherty - East Pelham International Ariport. I haven't done Doherty yet in NCIII, I showed it on updates 20 and 24 in 2.0 though. That was over two years ago, so I figured I should go back to Doherty for a while I'm planning on staying in Doherty for a while, so let me give you my plan for it. It's part of a Tri-City metro area with San Clemente City (you may have seen that a few times this year on updates 43 and 46) and another town on...

All pictures are in beautiful HD Just a small update in time for the new years. On some other day, I plan on doing a transportation update where we drive down that highway you'll see from here, through the Central Core, all the way to the Simlympic Park, which is a 3 large city tile distance. Here's the Highway 317, which, during weekdays, is a lot more difficult to commute than it is now. The Streets of Burlesque shopping center, about a mile south of Highway 317. What Burlesque looks like now is, as the...

Bid for the XVII Simlympiad

This update has over 60+ images within a PDF file. By picture count it is the largest update in the lengthy over two-month history of New Chandler. It will probably force you to download it, it's not viewing it on the browser for some reason (at least for me it isn't). Anyway, if you have problems with the download please let me know

This update was supposed to be later, but I just couldn't resist doing it now. If you are referring to the map from the previous entry, the little vacation islands are probably to the east of the Parringshire/Galanos/Waterford area. They could probably fit on the map as they aren't far but they are so small and there are so many... Also, this was supposed to use a beach mod, however, it didn't work and corrupted the city tile with my first attempt at an island. Sorry for using the Maxis beaches. Anyway,...

Bayview

Bayview is one of the three anchor cities of the East Pelham Megatropolis, the others being Doherty and San Clemente City. Bayview is the northernmost one of the three, and shares a direct border with Doherty to the south. This update will feature the part of Bayview on the south side of Don Fierro Bay. The next one will feature the northern side. We'll start in Del Ray District, on the Oceans Avenue end. The Highway 1 end. This freeway links Bayview to Doherty. Continuing east. Highway 1 is the freeway...

Another Rainy Night

There is a new item available in the downloads section. Check it out! Until then, I will reply to my comments I got on my last entry. All eighteen of them bear with me here!Sky Guy: Thanks for the comment, I am glad you like it!Adrianor: Thanks for the comment. The region is hand-made by me and not done yet so probably not. You can see a view of La Brea though from the downloads page (Page 2)Liberator444: Thanks for the comment, I am glad you like it!TekindusT: Thanks for the comment, my friend. I haven't...

Sorry about the color in some of these pictures, I forgot to enhance a few of them. My bad. Welcome back to Rockaway. Today, we are going to take a ride on the Rockaway Metro line C3. Rockaway Metro operates the rail lines in the city and those in the countryside and smaller towns on the outside, in the province of Hollister, known as the Provincial lines, beginning with the "P" prefix. In the city they act as express lines. We will start at Dalorpe Park, a major station in a forest of new apartments. The...

As always, replies from the teaser are on the previous page. Here's update 52, enjoy Sorry it's a little later than I expected. If you've got finals like I do this week, good luck! East Doherty and the city of Carla Vista brush up against the east bank of the Carla Vista River, a seven mile wide body of water (at this point) separating the metropolitan areas of San Clemente City and Doherty. There might not be any part of New Chandler more different than these two towns, separated only by National Route...
k50
Update time! The labels are in Spanish, the captions are in English. Rockaway does speak a fair amount of Spanish so that's the reasoning behind it. PERIFÉRICO DE COLORADO / SCARLET RINGROAD - Named after it's often close proximity to the Solvanese Ocean, this freeway is a busy southern loop of Rockaway's downtown. AVENIDA DON BORJA / DON BORJA AVENUE - An oddly-placed but well-used road often bypassed by the much more busy Paseo de Los Insurgentes, it is named after Don Felipe Borja, the first Insulonian...

Check the last entry for the regular pictures of this, because this picture is far from regular It's a 22.3 MB jpg file, and it will probably take a few minutes to load, even on a very good internet connection. I encourage you to load it on you biggest screen on your best computer you have. Stay away from smartphones Anyway here it is A little part of the bottom isn't quite done yet because I might develop it. You can see what I'm saying in the preview.
