Forest Fields Freight Yards just to start.

Welcome everyone! Today we'll be taking a closer look at Forest Fields. It's going to be a full day tour so I hope your ready. I hope to cover just about all of it so this will be a big entry. (Please look for replies at the end.)

Ok to start off let's catch up with where we are in the Region. As you can see we have been touring the Sun Bay District and it's communities. Situated in the South Western corner of the region. We have already taken a look at The Lion's Woods and The Lion's Perch. We'll take a look at Forest Fields and then move our way south into Sun Bay Village.

Replies:

@Dreadnought Thanks man, I had the idea and had all the pictures ready then noticed some people were posting nightime CJs around the same time, hope they don't thik anything of it, I've had most of these pics for months.

@raynev1 Thanks buddy, Yeah it kinda throws things but there are so many good buildings with great night lighting I still have to switch over every once in awhile. The Goober Gen just popped up one day and in just the right spot I think

@MissVanleider Thank you glad you like them. Thank you for commenting. Yeah it's always the parking lots causing trouble, shakes head at the parking lots  :noway:

@kschmidt Thanks, I don't make them I Just plop them, but then again it is SC4 and everything is a little compacted or we'd never fit anything

@takemethere Hey man Thanks for the compliment. As I mentioned in a pm, I use the Mandelsoft's LRMv5 USA Set, with the dark nite cones, but doesn't always work that well. We need someone to come up with a new set.

@kelistmac Thank You, hope you liked it during the day too.

Nice bustling pre industrail country town ! Railyard & Logistic center very nice supporting goods traffic in the surrounding area. Zoning, very good keep some space for what ever. Highspeed rail station seem a bit odd such a rural seting; electrified track what NAM your´re using ? When growing this town agriculture in between tracks will probably replaced with industry or more commercial activities, rest of agricultural plot wil fadel eventualy for residential development, well done !

Yo, guy --

Looks Great !!    The way you plan everything out is well done and the execution remains faithful to the plan.  Planning cities "on the fly" is a lot of fun -- but I think I'm going to invest more time in the planning stages.

I am totally fascinated with your tree mix and ground cover.  The picture with the soccer stadium shows it very well around the tracks -- that "splotchey" look to the earth with that "feathery" looking brush.  And the animal pens at the State Fair are a brilliant bit of ad-hoc artistry!!  Your trees suggest a "northern location" (You may have said and I simply missed that part).  And it appears to be a medium elevation -- more pines than maples.

Creative work with the road and rail network, I'm liking all the curves and diagonals. Also this entry reminded me of one of the advantages that the maxis highway still has over the RHW - diagonal elevated highway interchanges. Really hoping that one day they can rectify it, I'm really missing 'em.

Good looking little town. The sunken avenue under the rail viaduct is a nice touch, and the railyard is very nice.

Awesome rail yards in the town center! Is steam power still a widely used technology within your journal?
