Hello Everyone!

I hope you were able to get some rest. Tonight we'll meet up for some dinner and head over to the State Fair for some entertainment. Pigs and Ferris Wheels and maybe a pig on the Ferris Wheel...you never know around these parts.  (Please look for replies at the end and sorry but some of the lighting is out of whack)

If we head East from the train station we will walk through the downtown section.

A little further east and we can see the hotel just past the Bullet Train Rail Line.

If we go to the west from the train station we'll be heading into the area of town called the west village. It's one of the residential arms of the town.

For those that want to head to the State Fair we'll be driving this little area of the town.

The road at the bottom right of the above picture can be followed to the fair, it drives right past it.

Here's a larger view of the area.

If you're wondering what is helping support the denser population areas, well there is some advanced industry in some corners of the town.

Forest Fields is one of the towns on the western end of the Bullet Train Line that runs all the way to the main city of River's End situated on the eastern side of the region. The region is quite wealthy and the Bullet Train was paid for by the regional government. The wealth is due to some mines in the region that produce a very rare but very versatile metal. The PM of the region has worked toward development of the region with keeping  the natural feeling of it in place. The Bullet Train is currently operated by MGB Associates and they have started the Overnight Express, a direct high speed run from River's End to Sun Bay Village. It then continues north through Forest Fields onward to the end of the line where it reverses for it's final run of the night a full speed direct non stop ride back to River's End. This last run has turned into quite the hot ticket as it is the only chance to ride the train at high speed for the full length of it's track.

Here we can see it on it's north bound route. Past the other residential arm of the town.

For anyone that would like to go ahead to spend the night in the next town in our tour Sun Bay Village you can use your region pass to take the night train into town.

Thank You everyone for coming to hangout tonight. Looking forward to seeing you in the next entry 05 - Forest Fields by Day where we will take a deeper look at Forest Fields and it's development. Look for the Full Tile View of the town in the next entry, something I will do for each of the tiles we will look at.

Replies:

@kschmidt Thank You, I hope I was able to better explain about the Bullet Train reference.

@Dreadnought Thanks, I love the Super Chief, my operable model train as a kid was ..what else.. the Super Chief!

@DavidDHetzel Thank You, I dragged it.. you can create a 90 bend in a 3x3 space by starting to head at an angle then turning it, I created one 90 and then continued and made another, the bend on the right is a wide radius curve dtr piece.

@raynev1 Hey Bud, yep decided to finally start it up, I've been working on it for a year but finally got to the point I was comfortable enough to make a CJ and show it to people, that and I figured it'd be a shame if I was the only one that had ever seen it. Thank You for comments. (So that's why those orchards are dark, kinda forgot about that)

@takemethere Very glad you like it Thank You , hope you like Bullet Trains too

@Ln X Thank You, I kinda went with some older mods for the region, PEG Rock Mod and Columbus Tree, I used SHK's Brigantine that's newer but it looks good and works so well with PPond MMps, I also stuck to the Maxis Sidewalks for the region.

@Schulmanator Thank you I'll try.   This CJ has been schulmanated! That's a big meow!

@GoKingsGo Well I guess that would have been a nice compliment I would have said Thank you to but.. I Still say Let's Go Devils! lol  I still haven't forgotten 2012, the Devils haven't done much since then, it hurts lol

Thank You everyone

~Phil

VERY Nice --

A little night tour is an interesting thought.  I like the night shots -- adds a bit to the realism of the place.

#2, 5, and 6 are especially good.

Cool entry , it is a shame Dark Night doesn't play well with everybody's stuff though . I like what you did with the state fair , nice . The image I liked the most was the one with Goober Gen centered , I think that image worked the best with the night mod . All the pics looked well planned . Keep it up , looking forward to the next entry .   :thumb:

Some of these pictures are excellent, I almost never play with the nighttime or day / night cycle because of how weird darknight makes everything (I'm looking at you, Parking Lots) look! #7 is my favourite

The city looks great in the dark, I like the rail automata your using. Btw is there a mod your using to brighten the night lights? When I tried the dark night mod the street lights didn't seem half as bright as yours are.

Great entry!

I'm curious to know if you're using the HSR mod. Is that the white bullet train shown in #12? I don't think I have seen a rail texture like that for the mod.

@airman15   Thanks for the comments. No HSR just the Bullet Train Mod. There are a couple of textures for the Bullet Train one white and blue and the other I think might have had some red to it. I think this one the white one came with the NAM(might be an option, don't remember)
