Your road does look much better now and should be nominated for the next Grand Prix , or even a Drift competition . :D But really , it does look better with more curves .

And I can smell those lilacs from here in Alaska.

Seriously Art, this is looking really good.  Of course, you do know that wide radius curves and the FAR have a special place in my heart.

Definitely a very nice start! As per usual I really like your use of lattice towers, not just mine but also MandelSoft's hydro plyons. Makes for an interesting contrast being in the middle of a forest. One recommendation, much in the same way as the roads make a path through the forest I think you should do the same for the hydro/power corridor, that is clear cut the land directly underneath the wires.

Check out this image from google earth, I set it so that the roads are highlighted so as to differentiate between the two;

You can actually see the path of the hydro lines very clearly from space. Of course it may be presumptuous of me to assume they do this all over the world, but its very much the normal in North America. Anyhow I think it would would look cool in your regional view.

Absolutly, much better those extra curves, river even seems to be a bit to straight for one´liking some waterfall or more curvy track with this new road layout !

Nice hairpin for a drift race against a tofu delivery 86!

On the matter of vegetation below pylon (Integrated vegetation management), it should be safe to say that the current one shown on pic is a good estimation for Japan system. There are regulation on the height and distance but the trees are not tall enough to cause danger (see pic - those are 275kV pylons which are 50-60m tall)

Below is a satellite view of pylons on a hill near a power plant (so perhaps those are high voltage lines). As you can see no visible bare ground beneath the line, although power companies claim they check and cut trees regularly.

Anyway I must stress that I am not a pro and only collate information in 5 minutes.

All around it'
s gorgeous. However, one of the reasons I stay away from most of the NAM roads: in places that road cutting through the forest/country it looks like the vegitation has been nearly entirely removed on either side up to 150ft or more from the side of the road. Rather than melding into the surrounding natural beauty it cuts a path right through it.

Seems I stand corrected on the hydro corridor part, though it's funny to hear them say they supposedly do it when it's quite obvious it hasn't been done in years! Anyhow it makes sense to use what is locally correct instead of going by my personal preference :P
