#1 - Med Inspirations - French Riviera

Hi everyone !

Few words about me :

My name is Benoit, and I'm a french guy from Paris !

It has been quite some time now that I post updates on the french forums and also on SC4 Devotion, but so far, I was just a lurker here on Simtropolis !

Some of you might already know me and my work, but others will not so I will also post pictures from my older work ! :golly:

Why Med Inspirations ? Well my work was mainly focused on what I saw arround the Mediterranean Sea at the beginning, but to be honest, I'm inspired by a lot of other things !

Here is the first entry.

This is inspired by the french town "Saint-Tropez" located on the french riviera. This not a reproduction, just an inspiration ! :D

Hope you'll enjoy it !

See you soon with a lot more !

And as I am new here, two questions :

- Do i need to do something to be on the home page of Simtropolis ?

- What does the Entry Image exept being in front of the text ?! :D

Gorgeous work Benoit! I lurked your CJ thread on SC4D lol, and I saw that you had posted the lots of this update (French Riviera Lots) on another site. I was wondering if by any chance you had recieved feedback from Youcef on the buildings? I want to get his BATs so I don't have to deal with the brown boxes lol. Anyways, fantastic update, and keep up the great work!

I'm glad to see you over here, your work is great. The water is the most realistic I've ever seen in a city journal, with your flora visible under the surface.

Can I ask where you got your marinas?

Hi, Benoit. I'm Emir. I've been on this site for some time (I've posted over 180 total entries) and on your first update, you've already made me envy you and your CJ. I think I've already become a fan.

So... I welcome your journal, and I must say, EXCELLENT WORK. :O

Great to see you over here at ST. You can submit a feature for the front page yourself. Just go to 'Home' and then 'Manage Features' and follow the instructions.

Do you think you will return to North Africa in your CJ any time soon? I loved your brief foray into Africa a while back over at SC4D.

I was a great fan of your work at SC4D's Picture Competition, and now you're bringing the goods to ST! You've got a hardcore fan here!

My only critique? Perhaps these roofs are a bit too inclined for a Mediterranean environment. Usually, their inclination is less steep given that there's no snow. Nevertheless, excellent work!

Actually, I was waiting for a green beach mod from marsh to make the river more realistic, but you just gave me an idea ! I think I know how to deal with that, some testing have to be done :)

TekindusT : Thanks a lot dude ! This is quite true, but well, there is not thousands of models available :) And theese are my favorites, so it was the best compromise, for me !

Thanks a lot for the comments, as soon as I have the time, I'll check your CJs ! :)
Is it possible not to have the pictures resized ? (I guess not but well..)

Here is the download link to the Marina LOTs ! http://www.2shared.com/file/6DMO0nMC/MedMarina-ST.html
If you don't know me, I still do not officially upload my work because I'm to lazy to test it, to link all the depandancies and to work on a readme !
I work on the LOTs for me, and just upload them for thoose who are interested !

(.desc for models as props are included)

BSC CAL props (Boats)
BSC CP props (Trees)
BSC swi21 props (Boxes, this prop was not really needed, but you'll need it... Sorry :P)
BSC Mattb325 props (Trees, Statue)
CSX props (Boats)
JS props (Seawalls for some corner LOTs, theese LOTs are not the bests so not really needed)
Peg props (Boats, Docks)
Vip props (Cars)
Nams props (People / Buildings / Stuff)
Wmp props (Seawalls / Textures / Stuff)
Youcef props (Buildings)
ITS props (Cafe table & planter)
R6 props (Buildings)

Stuff = You better download all the props from the creator !

I think that's all. This is a lot, but if you guys are addicted to SC4, you should have all that !
Exept for Youcef models that are not officially released yet (He is still not answering me, but coming soon) and the tower from Namspopof that will be released in his next prop pack !
Good news, I now focus my LE work on fewer prop packs, so it will be easier. (But not today !)

No links to the dependencies, but if you are having a hard time finding something, feel free to ask me, I'll be glad to help you.

Next update very soon, see you !
