Maybe it's a little macabre, but here's the Monumental Cemetary of my city:

And a close-up to the most historical part:

Thats quite the cemetary. The multi-levels are great. Much more interesting than just flat terrain. Very well done!!!

GAH, stupid me... IMG not URL. Anyways... I've been working on this new city. In the center of the medium map is this huge and combersome mountain. This has made for some, interesting situations. Latest which was that I had a thin strip of land between the mountain and a small strip of water that I HOPE to make into a small harbor. In that strip of land I needed a highway with exits, a road or two, a commuter rail, and a local rail. Took me good part of a few hours, but heres what I came up with:

HyattCity12.jpg

Ah yes, forgot to say that the highway had to come up grade as well, and the entire thing had to be sunken, and then at the end dive into a tunnel under the mountain. The highway had to be in that position so it could line up on the other side of the mountain. As well as the commuter rail had to be on the oposite side so it can connect with the neighbors. So, yes, it COULD have been much easier, but I think this is functional as well as eye pleasing.

The highway actually runs about twice as long as you see there on the coastline, and then it takes a sharp right turn, thanks to a temporary avenue transfer, heads up through a tunnel, and comes out at another exit where it goes up further, and then onto the industrial district. I'll get an entire city picture when I can. I had JUST finished a really nice airport in it and the GLR got my game.

Also, if you notice... I'm not using the latest version of his walls. Not sure if its just me, but they're just... too industrial.

Nah, I honestly don't like highways. They just tear a seam in your city... and I like to keep my open, flowing, and green... however, teraforming that mountain in my other city.... THAT was fun. I have these time laps pictures I took, about 10 years apart, 5 of them. They show this mountain that took oven an entire map, getting teraformed bit, by bit, by bit, until it was all teraced, flat, and usable.

I started doing sunken highways not too long ago, but now they're all this way. This region is my newest, completely started from scratch once I decided I had enough skills. And man... I was right. The only thing that will ruin the region is that I used Fairview. All the maps are small to medium. Ah well... I'll just fill it up, and move on.

Port of Callisto.JPG

Here's my first try at a port. I just finished filling in a medium city tile--which is about 1/3 of what is to be the Port of Callisto.
