@outriderdriver:  I think it's the biggest city I've seen here on ST, well done 44.gif

This is my refurbished region of Schlaraffenland. I started it since the day sc4 came out and originally it was a 16x16 km map. I recently decided I'm going to turn this region into a small country so I enlarged it to a 24x24 map that's about 500 sq km (about the same size of Andorra) and added the northern areas of the mountains with the fjords and the lower east Islands.
This terrain gives me the most diverse landscapes where I can create different themed towns. I want to create national parks, fisherman's villages, mountaines recreational towns, ski resorts Torino style, tropical Islands get aways, canal city and more. All these to serve the main Metropolis of over 5 million city dwellers (visible on the lower left and still in the make).
Overall it took me almost 10 hours to produce, going back and forth from city to city reconciling and terraforming. I used PEG's gray rock mod, Brigantine water mod and cycledog tree mod.

What do u think?

After having followed this thread for a long time, and never having posted anything (mainly because i dont find my cities worth mentioning!)41.gif
I thought i would finally give it a shot, and post something from my newest city, which, i guess, could best be described as an industrial fishingharbor... If you like it, please let me no, and i will try posting more pictures...2.gif
Btw, i absolutely love the work the rest of you guys have posted in this thread, especially you fox and jeronij, i find myself constantly redoing my cities because of you guys... Damn you!45.gif48.gif

Heres the last pic of this city. I ran out of room in the surrounding cities for Industry without making it look too unrealistic to me. I dont know how it happened to me still...2.82 million? dang Im 21, I think I should call it quits by now. But I can't. Youll have to download it though, dont ask me why. If you want this city and have approx. 500,000 industrial jobs I can see about sending it to you.--------Nope not working. Anyway its just about the same as the last pic, just more people.

Er, heres the main city in a new region I've been working on. I'm considering starting a CJ about this once I get more built and the suburbs even out, still having commercial demand problems. I'll admit, it isn't that beautifull of a city, but if you get down into it you notice the detail and culture and perfection that i've created. Within that city there is a perfect grid layout with a superb bus system, interlocking subway lines, and a major highway that doesn't break up the landscape like most do.

Tell me what you think, and if I should even go the distance to start a CJ on this region.

Fox, in the lower right hand corner of the pic with that huge silver tower, previous page, what is that Subway station?

Thanks jacqulina (I hate the lack of recogization on large sites like this), that was the second thing I did in that city, right after building the central highway system that goes directy through the city's core without distruping transit or sticking out. I don't photoshop, so I have to work extra hard to get pics like taht waterfall one, experimenting with diferent peices and such.

Beautifull eh? Sure, lets go with that. Thats a cool little, looks like a shopping area guldbamsen, just a bit of extra teraforming for those streets would make it look even better. That plazza next to the breakwatter is really awsome though, might try something like that in my city.

Just thought I'd show a pic of my latest creation (seawalls) for my hotel resort area. The beta1 version is available here for anyone who'd like to play with these before the final release comes out.

Believe in only what you can prove.

I used Peg's pond stuff to make a lake and river system. Turned out pretty good I thought, but I ended up deleting the region. pegpondexperiment1ia.jpg

I just really like how this one turned out. Nothing special though. scjubuilding24uo.th.jpg

I suggest you try out The GIMP. its a free, open source alternative to photoshop. so its not perfect, but hey, it works for stuff like that.
