I was hoping that would be another April Fools joke, but that was nine days ago. Dang. This CJ was really good, I was following it closely for each update. It was becoming one of the best story CJs out there. Maybe you can update every week or two or something like that. Anything to stop this CJ from ending would be good.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!  How can you even think of such a thing?!?  I hate to see this one end, but I understand you my CJ has taken a back burner also RLS is just killing it.  It would be cool if you could instead of ending it just update like every other week till summer.  That is kinda where I am with my CJ, and this one is going great.  I say don't stop just slow down for now.

Thistlewood's loyal fan,

Here's part 1 of the final update guys. No pictures, but enough info to end the Thistlewood story fittingly.

BANG! BOOM! CRASH! The lightning roared outside the window. The storm had roared in like an African lion, devouring its prey, which happened to be the area of Thistlewood. Then, CRACK! The window had shattered with the ferocity of the impeding doom.

However, one man stood outside. The citizens of the little town stared from their broken windows or splintered doors as the man kneeled on Main Street, seemingly in deep pain. He let out a scream, so loud that the echo continued for many moments after.

The thunder crackled overhead. The charcoal clouds poured in as if a funnel had been placed above the hamlet, and had been filled with black ink. Then, the sky split and a golden bolt filled the air.

Main Street ripped open, and the asphalt flew in all directions. The burning stench filled the people's homes, and whatever was left of Main Street was lit aflame with the passion of God's wrath. The man was nowhere to be seen.

Part 2 of the final update, here we go.

They were all there. He lay in the middle of the room, motionless, and they were all there to see him. Reverend Mills, newly recovered, delievered the service, while Mark Dabb and Mr. Nedal delievered the eulogy together.

    The eulogy:

Artemis Winchester was a great man. He founded all of your homes, where you work, the way you live your life. He made your children possible. Without Artemis, your lives would not function the way they do today.

What compelled him to leave his home, to run out to Main Street and deliver himself to the heavens, will never be known. Artemis was a deeply troubled man. He struggled with himself on the inside.

When Main Street flew open, Artemis was struck on the temple by a chunk of flying asphalt. He didn't want to go out this way, but the depression that had always lay dormant inside of him was awakened with extremely bad timing. So, remember Artemis Winchester, for all the great things he did. Celebrate the life of Artemis Winchester, because he wouldn't want to have anybody sad at his funeral. Have a good time on behalf of him.

    -Mark Dabb and Mr. Nedal

So that's it. I want to thanks everybody who ever posted, or even looked at this CJ. I've made some friends, had a good time, and I'm sad to end it all this way. Look out for a new RHF journal this summer!

RHF, really enjoyed Thistlewood, can't believe your going. You can always be part of my cj, Monavale which needs more characters now the city has been set up.
