    How about some seasonal tree lots to download?

    Remember, these are files I created to use in 3RR.  The menu icons and placement are quick and dirty- you must also DL the dependency noted in the readme.  Use at your own risk.

    That said, enjoy!

    Those look like nice trees, they look nice in the rural areas and at the highway exits.

    David, I can always count on 3RR to provide a dose of rural splendor. Those trees look great and go perfectly with the fences and fields. Always a pleasure to drop by for a bit of eye candy!

    dedgren, I downloaded the trees, but for some reason the textures aren't working for me. Is there a dependency for those? Thanks, btw, for the lots! They're really awesome.

    A few replies-

    Craig (abcvs)- hey, hi!

    useful stuff as alwaysquote>

    That's 3RR - the Swiss Army Knife [linkie] of CJs.

    * * *

    Dan (dfnva)- Those great seasonal trees are cycledogg's- he deserves all the credit.  I just plop 'em.

    * * *

    Bruce (Schulmanator)- My friend, you are way too kind.

    * * *

    Jacky (jacqulina), yo!  Thanks!

    * * *

    etherian- I thought you might pick up on that.  I'm going to put in a shameless plug here for Typographia [linkie].  Who says that there's nothing new under the sun?  Read it and enjoyed it from the beginning.

    * * *

    The Big Z, hey-  I'll look forward to seeing them in Amaltheia [linkie].

    * * *

    lucky7- Thanks so much- again, it's the trees themselves that are beautiful- our friend cycledogg is a genius!

    * * *

    Almighty Nienaber- welcome to 3RR!  That goes, of course, to all the other first time commenters here- it seems that things are picking back up a bit.

    The terrain mod is cycledogg's great Columbus terrain.  It was the first and, imho, is still the best.  Let me know if you can't find it.

    * * *

    The Big Z, hi again.  Take a look at the readme- it lets you know what you need and where to look.

    Later.

    Thanks, Degren. You can see some of them right now, if you'd like. I posted two teasers with the plot trees I downloaded.

    OK, that's just brilliant - well done to everyone involved in the creation of the non-standard road angles. But it annoys me that the designers didn't put this kind of thing in the game in the first place! Thankfully we have devoted people like you 4.gif

    Very nice. Iam wondering if you are going to put a word into the NAM team about this. The road looks useful and Iam eagerly waiting for it over here and at SC4D

    Shingure, thanks for your interest.  Alex (Tarkus) is making them into puzzle pieces now, and like the wide radius road curves that he, memo, Andreas and I worked on last spring, they should find their way into the NAM the next time around.  In the meantime, since you and a few others have been kind enough to show your continued interest in 3RR with your comments, you might find something under your cyber-pillow shortly.

    holy crap! now we can really break the grid with this new breakthrough. is the road dragged from the angled elbow, or are they TEd lots? either way, this is awesome!

    Dan- the fractional angle road MOD, or FAR, will consist at present of three basic puzzle pieces pathed by Alex (Tarkus) as puzzle-pieces for the NAM.   These will include a short (17.4 degrees of arc) end curve, a long (72.6 degrees of arc) end curve and a 2x3 gridsquare long straight segment.  As puzzle-pieces, they will need to be plopped, at least for a while.  There may be potential for making the straight segments draggable to variable length from a stub on the end pieces- this is echelons above my skill level...

    ...I'm the idea guy- folks far more skilled than I put this in a form that you can use it in the game...

    All I've done in these pics is put them on "dummy" TE'd lots so that you can look at them now.

    teaser10080503qe9.jpg

    There's, of course, further discussion about this over at 3RR [linkie], where we just passed 75,000 page views thanks to, I'm sure, all you folks here coming and peeking.

    Again, thanks for your interest in this.

    Later.

    Now that is very cool. Is it possible to do it with streets, avenues and highways? Can't wait to see the finished product David.
