Coming in for the first time to 5.0 with fewer posts per page was scary. But fortunately I found the Personal Options page soon after.

30 replies is the best number overall. Not too many, not too few.

Hmm...

used to be that you could alter the number of posts per page by manipulating the URL... but since the number 30 isn't in the new ur format anywhere, it doesn't look like you still can..

Not that I care, it was just an interesting quirk...

I am sure it is a work in progress, just as it has always been. I think dirk has more fun tweaking, adding and playing with the forums then actually posting in them.

Been checking in periodically. It'll take some getting used to but I think I like it.
I have been getting way into the Sims 2. I thought it was tough keeping my sc4 plugins organized. ts2 is a nightmare. Good to be back though.

And I'm sure with all the virtual chicken soup, backrub offers and goodwill that he'll be feeling in top form soon! One wierd thng I've been experiencing is that I use my return key and it ends up not recognizing it... so even though I see a break in the "reply to message" pop-up, when it posts it's all just one paragraph. I think I read a post saying others were having the same issue, and it was suggested to use "br" inside the angle-brackets until it's resolved. I've been doing that, but not in this message... so if it's all one paragraph it's still not resolved. (No hurry, no worry, just testing.)

Well, I have been away for a while and I have to say I am SHOCKED at how different the site looks. 

My initial reaction is negative I hate to say, but maybe it will grow on me. 

The home page really use to be something "different" now it is just the forums page.  Will this change over time? Back to the way it use to be with the various scroll screens etc... This 'appears' very low tech compared to the way it was.

I guess I will have to get use to it.  Again sorry for being negative.  It is just such a shocking change

You can see when stuff is coming back by looking at the calander here. But as sim1234 said things are running a bit behind as dirk has been sick.
