Hi ! I always wanted to use HSR mod , and I'm happy to see that there's some new project for HSR station. I love the terminal you've done "Running Naked in the Snow" !!

Well I've decided to start one by myself, I know it's an hard word, and It's my first bat , but I've decied to cross the gap and start BATing 4.gif . here the first pic (still have some scale problem , don't know what is the SC4 scale... I'm searching in tutorials to find the answer 4.gif )

Quick question: Will there ever be HSR Y intersections... W intersections? Or are they already there and I missed something awhile back?

That's a good point.

I don't know at to wich point the modders are able, or even allowed, to create a new automata.

They will have to ask Maxis for help to create an automata for the HSR.

Very cool idea but we'd need to make HUGE puzzle pieces for the curves. They don't handle creat around the corners 3.gif

This would require making giant 24x24 curve pieces i think... those high speed trains make very slim turns. Of course, that's not a whole lot considering it'd travrse a whole region. In fact, it would taverse several countries IE Amsteram through Rotterdam, through beligum to paris.

Ok I have a small question and I apologise if this has been asked before.

I haven't used HSR for many months due to a few problems. I no longer have the original track textures, instead somehow, they have been replaced with a different track. One with thin light stone supports and overhead power line supports. Also when trying to have a curve I'm left with a huge mess of odd shapped track.

Does anyone know what I'm trying to describe and if so how can I fix it???

I have been using the HSR with the most recent release of the NAM, and there haven't been any problems yet. It should be fine.

Actually, if you play the game with the new NAM and the draggable GLR, you'll see that the elevated rail and the GLR have different automata.

If they apply the same concept of draggable GLR to make draggable HSR, probably they will be able to give monorail and HSR different automatas.

Before removing custom contents from your plugins folder you should always bulldoze all items in your city, if you want to play them without the files installed. If you don't play your old city where you used the HSRP anymore, you can safely remove the related files without any further action, though.

I do have a question, I have a region with around 14 million Sims using the HSRP as a sort of commuter rail system and want to hook it up to a more traditional heavy rail system. I was wondering how (if any) the HSR to Heavy Rail conversion is going, or if there is one available. I have scoured this thread up and down countless times, only to come up with a few photos, and a tutorial that confuses me as to how it works. I have even given it a try to no avail. Any sort of help would be appreciated.

He hasn't said anything in quite some time, so I'm almost assuming he may have given up on the piece. If someone would have the time I would be ever so grateful for one.

@crazyyaya: i don't think that there are many "high speed" stations available.. yes, there are many old monorail stations, but they just don't fit the HSR concept (3 tiles only).. however, i'm still waiting for the other 2 stations that are supposely being developed by some BATers.. what i do now is just convert some el-rail stations to HSR using the sc4tools.. there are some cool stations, especially from APTX..

Where can I find that GLR in street at the top right of this screenshot? It was posted 4 months ago and may have been answered, but I don't see it right away. Sorry if I am asking a dumb question. 3.gif

I haven't read through this whole topic, but I was wondering if there are puzzle pieces for sunken highway bridges available anywhere?

Very cool, good sir, but a few things:

1. I dunno if this has been touched upon, but would it actually move as fast a bullet train when I watch the train go?

2. Since this is a so high-speed, would it not make sense that you wouldn't be able to make more than one station per large city???

3. And lastly, this looks frikkin awesome!

Is this the GLR support thread? I'm just using this for the 1st time. I was wondering if there is anything that can make GLR overpasses over ground hwys. If someone can point me in the right direction or @ least give me a way around it, I'd appreciate it.

This is the HSRP thread... not the GLR thread. I don't know where that one went, you'll have to search for it.

But I will answer you question anyways... To make GLR go over ground highways, just use the GLR--> El-rail and drag the el-rail over the highways and use the GLR-->el-rail piece again to get it back on the ground to GLR.

I was afraid that was the only solution8.gif. I tried it & it looked soooo ugly. A train line w/speed bumps21.gif.

actually you're in luck...the GLR onslope piece eliminates this problem. it is available in the latest NAM (June 2007).

back on topic...is this project staying here or moving to SC4Devotion like all the other transit projects?
