personally, everyone on this planet is titled to their own opinions. I'm not saying science and religion are intertwined together, but I can't really expect for big bang and evolution to create order in the universe and here on earth respectively. Its not logical to me but that's just my view

Well, I admit I'm a christian, evolution doesn't fall in place for me. As evolving from a single cell organism is chaotic and disorderly to me.

Evolution doesn't exist beyond the micro-cellular level, because the DNAs of each of world's plants, animals, and us humans doesn't allow transition into other forms. And there's not one transitional form in the fossil record.

the Avenue is hard to use if there's no intersecting street or roads/one way roads to act as a turnaround point for the sims to use.

Well, I meant that the no new system can be added, the "new" networks being created is still based on the original Maxis systems.

sounds interesting, though this modular system for power couldn't fit in already built cities and regions. though the method of sticking the power facilities in a neighboring city tile would work.

I heard in the HSRP thread that can you can't add entire new systems. you can only convert existing ones as well as to a extent extend them. The GLR system is apart of the sub/el system. The HSR is a replacement for monorail.

The monorail system can be replaced by the High Speed Rail project for even higher intercity commuter speeds, but the tracks use wide turns and are best at zero to light grades. They are a 1000 piece to plop. The hubs are 3000 to plop and 300 to maintain.

I perfer to use all systems. GLR will be useful and I plan to use it in combo with the region's other systems including HSR

This is a bedroom community town I build with the two other RCI types in small city tiles to the north(commercial) and south(industry). The Tram lines service much of simville excluding a part of the south east area, but I have a bus system as well.

From my reading of this thread, the High Speed Rail project is 1.)a modification of the Monorail with the improved capacity for higher speed and larger passenger loads, but between entire cities. 2.) That the system is designed for straight as possible track design with little to no grade and turns that won't derail the system. This sounds like real life HSR alright. The only high speed train here in the US, Acela Express runs at 75 mph or double that when looking at track conditions in the Northeast Corridor
