@vidioman:  Blew a fuse?  Don't they even have circuit breakers?  I know you live in the lunkhead, but isn't that rather much?

Well, umm... I'm really not sure why we don't have a breaker... Classrooms themselves, especially here in the tech wing, have their own breakers, but I guess the schools main hydro input thinger is still a fusebox...

Even my grandma has a breaker system now... I think it has something to do with lack of funding... Which would explain all the problems with the celings caving in upstairs........

OK, but I am sure you meant Beers for everyone. You said that beer is for everyone. I think you wanted to buy a round, did you not?

Congrats on your thousandth post, and thanks for making on our 50th page.

Yesterday was my birthday so I am standing everone a second round, drinker's choice.

Well, now with Rita at category 5, we can expect some excitement in the gulf coast area. Hope it doesn't do too much damage, but why do you suppose Galveston is built on a relatively unprotected coastal island?

Anyway, thanks for the 50 page notice.

Did you see the aerial shots of the destroyed islands off New Orleans? What will happen to Galveston? Do you think it will be a goner?

You can have any soft drink or other thing you like. gggg is paying this tab.

@ legodude121: Welcome. The autosystem materializes the trough containing five pounds of various flavours of ice cream. A spoon accompanies the trough together with a large pitcher of ice water and a glass. Son, if you eat all this, its on the house.

@gggg:(*) Everyone applauds the second round. I fill good today. Let us help you with your English my slavic friend. Fill - pronounced with a short i unlike the cyrillic equivalent is the present tense of the verb to fill, which means to replenish: I think you wanted to say I feel good today, which means you feel very well and healthy. Hope this helps you.

@Compromise:(*) Your label is fine. The underlined words in the quote are wrongly chosen. Pop! Here's your O.J. In this post did you mean probably?

@ djrules5454_simtropolisedition: A funny sizzling sound comes from the autochef. A litre glass of frosty gatorade appears. Enjoy.

(*) - Somedays I just can't control the grammar Nazi.

@ legodude121: Very well. I guess you pigged out at the trough, eh?

@Compromise: I am glad you enjoyed the O.J. As an retired teacher and I.T. executive, let me tell you that spelling is very important. On a resume it is critical. When I was hiring, resumes with errors went immediately in the garbage pile. Presentation of yourself is so important it cannot be emphasised enough. If your only contact with a prospective employer is the resume, errors in it won't get you an interview.

Re: spell checks on web pages. Some sites have it. Since this one doesn't, I use an HTML editor, Arachnophilia, to do that by composing this stuff in it and pasting it into the reply box. There is always more than one way to skin a cat.

I use my e-mail program to make replies to my CJs, because it has a spell checker, and it won't freeze like the reply box sometimes does if i use it for awhile. For everything else, I use the Google toolbar's spell checker.

For those who asked: A Nonny Moose is my screen name on all other boards I am on. I used to be N_O_Body everywhere, but I like the anonymity of A Nonny Moose better. The screen name led to the creation of this thread. It is simply a pun on anonymous, which just goes to show you shouldn't read in too much. Its just my warped sense of humour. I didn't change my screen name here because I would lose all my posts according to the admin guys.

@ legodude121:Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.

@Compromise: I dropped Microsoft Word nearly a year ago. In fact I unloaded Office XP, and loaded Open Office instead. Open Office has the quality of being free, and at least as good as word, without all the Microsoft baggage. Have a look at Open Office here.

@gggg: The autoservice gives the meatball to legodude.

The reason I use this simple html editor is that I can put web stuff into this very easily, in a free form way. I use Arachnophilia 4.0 by the way. It is no longer supported, but I don't like the java decor of later editions.

On the citybus this morning, the bell tape broke, and some old lady in the back, definately Ukrainian (you can tell..) started freaking out over it, and kept yelling at everyone about it. Then she gets of at a stop outside a bar downtown and just stood there staring at the driver all Oh, I spite you evil woman (it was a woman driver) then we went to the depot, switched to the County Park bus and went to school.

Stupid buses. That's the 5th time that bus has had bell tape problems.

And they have a commerical, check your pocket. Chances are you have change enough for the bus! so i'm walking along the deopt Friday night, took out the change from my pocket, and there was 1.74, so I went up to the guy and said this is the change from my pocket.. and he got mad.3.gif
