Hi, I took my diner in a typical little suburb restaurant, Chez Richard. The speciality there is an hambuger called interfromage. A very strange one... Bread, mustard, ketchup, a slice of orange cheese (industrial stuff looking like plastic, tasting like it too), something looking like meat (no longer breathing fortunately)... Now it gets unique: 4 onion rings, chunks of cheddar cheese in the middle (the rings keep them inside), a little roof of french fries and the covering bread.

No needs to tell that only extra large mouths are able to take a mouthful... I need a drink that will help me digest that seagull's food.

Let's get serious (). A few days (or week, I don't remember, I'm getting old), I shared with all of you an idea about a moose sign. Since last night sleep has been out of reach for a while, I decided to recreate that vision instead of counting sheep (in french, compter des moutons).

 

That's my prototype.

The fire hydrant is there especially for our 4 legged friends.

Please note this comes with a cherry and a plastic horsefly perched on the rim. everyone Sign is neat. The text needs to be in a clearer font. May I suggest Arial Black? Fire hydrant? Did you leave it out? Did you use self-illumination? I find it often works better than the window textures or light fixtures.

Yes, there is something to be said about the radio station, however, I am finding it hard to recommend playlists considering the mix. I am attaching the CIV IV collection for your elucidation. @ zmveliger: Fine old port is a great thing. Ramos Pinto 1926 is served in a 3.3 cl. glass We were able to dust this one off for you. I hope you like it. Perhaps a fine Stilton and some baguette to help you appreciate it? We have an extensive wine cellar. If you wander around in the dusty corners, you might even find some Chateau Margaux '69, and a case or two of Chateau Lafite Rothschild '67. We make every effort to keep these old clarets viable. I think there might also be some Pouligny Montrachat '84, but it may now be all gone. Burgundy is more popular than clarets because of the chewy textures.

I walked around a lot that day, but that is about it. 
On Saturday I had 2 bows of cereal for breakfast, 5 pieces of pizza, 2 cheeseburgers and french fires for a late lunch, and some chocolate chip cookies for an evening snack. Also on that day, I did a lot of walking, and this time there were hills involved as well.

I know this is picayune, but the changes are typical of me. If you PM me, I'll give you my e-mail address and test it for you. Wines Yes, I like really good wines, not all of them are French. At my wedding we served Veuve Cliquot Champagne to the head table. It went down well with the pork oscar and with the wedding cake. Have you tried any good Ontario wines? Add in the fact that they are a college prep high school and you have the recipe for a mound of homework every day.

 

I also plan to take up computer programming this year as I have always wanted to learn to program a computer (mostly because from a little kid, I wanted to manipulate the computer). (where's an evil smilie when you need one?)  The other reason is I plan to get a career in computer engineering and you will need to know how to program if you want anyone to hire you.

@ hym: Well, I can see you have a plate full. However, unless there are a lot of things you can't get done in class, homework is a necessary evil. The collegiality of the classroom is important. Do you have someone to work with and discuss topics when you are out of class? Your English class sounds almost like bonehead English. Just how big a spelling and grammar component is there? Is it a remedial course? What kind of American literature is in it? Are you covering historical stuff or more modern writing? Have you done Carl Sandburgs bio of Lincoln? Are you in a separate school? Religion, per se, sounds like things are a little Jesuitic. Relax, and enjoy the Geometry. Have you gone past Euclid? Grace a dios, no habla Espaniol. Is your Chemistry course physical or organic? The whole thing reminds me of my last year in high-school except for the business and religion courses. I took 2 English, 2 Latin, 3 Maths, Chemistry and Physics and the Problems course for scholarship candidates.
Computer engineering? Well, good luck. I started in 1962 as a computer programmer and went on to operating systems stuff so I know somewhat about it. My wife is also a retired application programmer.

Hi everyone, I've been working overtime lately so I've been quiet...

@ NOBody:  I do distance learning so I'm on my own.  The school I am associated with is considered conserative.  Spelling is just basic spelling and vocabulary (for some strange reason they feel value in continuing to teach it all the way through high school).  My literature course covers everything from classic American literature to some recent writings (they reserve the right to edit the material they make you read, so what they present in the book is largely conservative).  They made me read Silas Marner,(that one makes you sleepy) Julius Caesar,(ok, killing everyone of any consequence helped) and The Scarlet Letter (boring!).  The school claims to have no religious affiliation but, in reality, they do.  I have been enjoying the geometry class so far; we're studying plane geometry and the textbook is based off of Elements (so I'm not getting away from Euclid).  You're glad that you don't speak Spanish and I wish I could remember more of it.  Chemistry covers everything from organic to chemical reactions to nuclear science (so it's mostly physical chemistry with a section on organic).

I'm going to take Physics in my senior year.  I'm planning that my science project will be about the effects of wind on the trajectory of a baseball.  Basically, which scenario is better, having the ball catch the wind early, but not be allowed to finish most of its natural arc or is it better for the ball to finish most of its natural arc and then catch the wind.
