Compromise: Thank you. The development is focused on the extension to the south (Three Mills) and there is still a lot of work to do. After that it's Portstown's turn.

CITY STORIES: BIRNEN MURDER CASE FINAL PART

There was no certain evidence for a possible involvement (at the time of his arrest), Ms Hayward told the press yesterday in a news conference at City Hall. We had to keep him in town after his identity had been revealed, Police chief Maddox added.

Now, about one month later, there was plenty of evidence that Cochran was involved, as the D.A. said. But the charges are based on indices, there are no eye witnesses and there is not even a certain motive. This would have turned up during a trial, Ms Hayward defended her measures. Unfortunately, there won't be a trial after Cochran's death, which is not satisfying at all for the department of justice.

At least it seems clear that the murder was a private issue and did not have a political background. A private investigator hired by Mr Birnen published photos of Cochran dating Mr Birnen's fiancee the day before their deaths. Murder of passion would be a possible motive in this case and would exclude the theory of an organised elimination.

Although the Birnen murder case seems to be closed after the one and only suspect has died, it is not. Too many questions remain open, namely that of a motive. These questions might have come up in a trial. But now, this case reamains as an unsolved crime.

simster6: Thank you and welcome to this CJ. I'm glad you like the newspapers. I missed the newspapers from SC2k and I thought why not making one myself. And you know, I like journalism, I mean real journalism (but I also like playing around with it a bit), so well, I think you could call me a fanatic. Anyway, I'm glad you liked it.
gurrgkud: Wow, thank you. One of the most realistic? That's a great compliment. I found a very realistic one in an older CJ (I can't remember which one it was, however, his creator suddenly stopped posting). That was my inspiration. And I try to be as realistic as possible, even using real news for my front page. I'm glad that you like the airport too. It's a small one and I'm surpised how well it fits into this rural environment.
sloppet: Thanks a lot, sloppet. I'm glad you like my pictures. And sorry that I haven't visited your CJ recently. I like history-based CJs (Oh, I totally forgot to post a historical update myself...). And the newspapers... well, I'm obviously not the only one who likes newspapers. It's a lot of fun to put them together, although it takes ages sometimes.
jacqulina: Thank you very much. Particularly for the compliments on the farms. I know I'm not the master of farms (this title goes to Nardo and DHoppe) but I'm quite honored that you liked them. I'm glad you like the graphics too. I decided to present the two cities (Three Mills & Acorn Creek) differently by using different effects. And the newspapers just turned out to go well in this CJ...
decola: Thank you and welcome to this CJ. The area around Southshore Drive was very tricky. I've torn it down like a dozen times until I liked the results. I tried to be as realistic as possible.

rewright: Thanks a lot for that nice comment. Actually, the software part was not that important for this map since it is hand-drawn. Of course, Afterwards I colored and named it in a picture editing program.

oroen: Thank you. It's a great compliment after the work I've put into it. Well, I've seen some of your maps and they don't look bad either. The tricky part with this map was the fact that I intended to import it into the game and therefore had to integrate the existing parts. The in-game terraforming was even more time-consuming...

No update today. But it won't take too long until the next one...

Nice update!

I like that highway with the windmills. I also like that you didn't banned away the big grain elevators, there are enough stage 3 farms now on the STEX so that it isn't such a plague anymore.
Nice work with Simgoobers Irrigation canals and the wood!

Nice airport (though I don't like airports much ...)

What the updates are concerned, well, next time I'll be more careful what I'm saying (Unfortunately, RL is not always predictable).

Nardo: Thanks a lot for stopping by. I think we've discussed the grain elevator/pedriana issue in your CJ . About the airport: It produces noise and traffic, both negative points. But important cities need at least one airport. I didn't really like the fact that I have to build one either but it turned out quite well I think.
