This is the TMS CJ Rating Scale!

Its came about on January 13th while ST had alot of DownTime and the bored that comes with that, and now Ive decided to share it with the masses! So Far 106 CJs have been Rated, most of which have 10 Pages or more. The other which are lower in pages have had a great impact on ST or just seemed interesting to me to see what they would get lol.

Here is the Formula used to Rate these CJs

Formula.jpg

And Here Is the Ratings I Got!
Ratings-0116-1-25.jpg
Ratings-0116-26-49.jpg
Ratings-0116-50-106.jpg

I'll probably update this...maybe...bi-weekly or monthly lol

Hope you like it!

Hey, awesome work here TMS... took you a long time I bet. I like your formula, it works well. Hey! I see my two journals at the bottom! 8.gif18.gif. Well, at least I made it!! 17.gif

Good idea, hopefully you can update and expand this a little soon. I like how those popular journals made it to the top, such as Nexis, Digby, and SCR. 44.gif

My game crashed on friday the 13th....truck broke down....and now 13th on the list...something fishy is going on....47.gif

but seriously...for something that came out of bordum this list works pretty good...though...it would be interesting to somehow figure in how long the journal has been active...to give a boost to those that have pretty new journals but have gathered the other stats in a quicker period of time...

Your freedom is the most expensive thing you have, even if you arn't the one that paid for it... Use it well.

i tried to get that for older CJs because alot of them arent as long as many of the CJs now... i remember when the longest CJ on ST was 15 pages now we have Mega CJs that are 50+ so thats yea i put the Years category in there...

I like the formula but I noticed My CJ wasn't in the Rankings even though I got a 556 when I used your Formla

now when you say year are you talking year started or Year of Last Post?

Great... Now I have to work really hard on my CJ to get it on the list. Although it might take me a while to get to 10 pages (4 now).

It is an excellent formula you have worked out.
I think my score for Kinata Region is 486.

Well like i said i didnt add every CJ off the Fourm so yours will eventually make it on the list...

and when i mean year i mean the year the CJ started because obviously Edmonton is still going lol

Very nice list you've got there. Please pin this thread. It's fantastic!

But one query, I'm not sure if i've done it right but i've done the following for my CJ Lane Cove:
150+24.49+174.49+172.49+3+517.47+0.9=574.96 Which would equal 73rd place so I don't think i've done it right. Where would I have been if this combo is wrong?

Thats about right but Excel got 573 but thats probably because of the rounding it does... and yes that would put you 73rd

    Kinata Region - 546

Cool *grin* - Like I said earlier on the Chat - Thanks TMS for taking out the time (altho it was mired in boredom) to create the scale....

    Good job! *grin* 44.gif

Again pretty much the same old stuff. I think there might be quite a few inactive CJs there.

I would like to see something more current. Regardless ~ I am one who could care less about how highly rated my CJ's are. Anyway thanks for your effort ~ it must have taken some time.

Now if someone would take the time to rate the cities on how well they are planned, attention to fine details, custom content, and overall quality of the work ~ That would be nice. Many of the tops CJs on that list have roads, streets, etc.. sloped so steep you would need a winch to ease the vehicles down.

I guess these ratings reflect popularity more so than quality.

Hahaha, this is great! 41st is a fantastic spot for Green Depra!

Very interesting idea, I really like it, and it is a great rating system, instead of simply the most replys goes first, etc.

I would love to see regular updates of this list TMS because its just great! It must have took you a while too!

neat list, TMS - seeing a couple of mine were pretty cool, as well.
a couple of suggestions, for what they are worth.
first off, perhaps links to those journals would be helpful, if all possible (i know it is on a spreadsheet, and would be very difficult to get that look on Simtropolis, so...).
another even more difficult suggestion would be to perhaps include trixie nominations along with the winners (fewer points...but those who got many nominations would move up *coughSCRcough*).

remember, just my own unofficial suggestions...but i like this. actually. i always find projects such as this and PhatHead's to be quite fascinating.

Wow, really cool system. Very accurate and it's good you include many factors that would make the scoring fair!
