This probably isn't very original but I have to say how amazed and pleased I am with Columbia River...this CJ is a big inspiration to me (as I'm sure it is to many more people).  Great job...and I love the surprises.  This CJ never fails to surprise me with each update. 44.gif  Please keep it up!  Caspen wants to be Columbia River when it grows up. 2.gif

/me downloads Marrast Embankment Set , they look sooooooo good in your CJ. Nice to see that they can also be used on land.... and how beautiful! 29.gif

I see that your name is in it, jeroni: First of all, I'd like to thank Jeroni for making a custom overlay texture for this set.

I also want to congratulate you with the lots you made. I have them all, and I'm using them all exept the Shore Conforming SeaWalls. The parking lots you made are in my opinion the best I found, some have too many light poles, other parking lots are just ugly. Haha1.gif

Hey, you have that big park with the pond in pic 37.4, I have that one too! LOL, who cares48.gif

And a question for you, do you use a mod for your roads? They have different lines. I searched for it, but maybe not good enough! Please tell me.

I really love this Update. I got a question for you Master Jeronij.3.gif

When you zone in Mid or High density, do you zone it without doing low density first sometimes?

Oh and also how big is your population?42.gif

Wow... I'm surprised I haven't posted in here yet...

This is a really nice CJ...  Not very realistic (at least, from the POV of an American), but friggin beautiful!  Reminds me of the old days with Olympia...

Hi, does anyone know where you can get the connection between the end of a highway and an avenue as shown in the first picture of page one?! (I have attached the picture in an attachment)

Hey dude it just does that on its own just lay a highway down and drag a avenue from the end.

Having spent almost 3 hours working my way through this thread, i'm too spent for words so i'll let this - 44.gif express my approval.

And nice to see that i wasn't the only one to spot the potential of Marrast's embankment pieces as a sort of gunpowder era fort, though i was thinking of mixing it with water for some of those fortified Dutch towns.

Great stuff Jeroni, can't wait for more.

Jeroni,

I particularly like the second pic, the dirt walkways, the irrigation canal starting at the base of the water tower!

Never seen such natural looking farmland on SC4.

I JUST LOVE IT! 29.gif

Port de Soller was your version of a fantastic urban environment, I can't wait to see how you do rural areas! 9.gif

This is gonna be awesome.

I work for the US Army. I go places, visit mean people, and kill them.

Winston Churchill is generall credited for saying something to the effect of: "People sleep soundly in their beds because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf". That about sums up my life, besides the "rough men" part.

8.gifIt is with a heavy heart we say goodbye to Port De Soller.  I have been following this CJ from the beginning, actually the very first CJ I was introduced to here at Simtrop, it just happened that I found this one first.  As I was saying, it is sad to see Port De Soller go, it has become a regular part of my day, looking, waiting for updates.  I can't wait to see how the 16.gifdevelopment of Son Moix unfolds.

Hey man - what are you doing????

No more cities of mine without your concrete / residential / rural / conforming walls and evertime I see an update I just don´t want to go on with my cities ....

You and Llewellans Digby have REALLY inspired me for my own cities.

I have a laughing and a crying eye now we have to say good bye to Col de Soller:

A crying one because it is finished - no more updates ... 8.gif

A laughing one because your new town starts promising!!!! 29.gif16.gif

keep on like this!!!!

I want to compliment you again Mayor Jeroni, but every time I try to think of a word to describe you and your creations... I decide that it's not good enough. I don't think the English language has a word to describe you, Jeroni. Either that, or I just don't know it.

These images you are showing us are beautiful, stunning, awesome, inspiring, great.... plus much much more.

And, as I always say, keep up the great work, Jeroni.

Your first half-update on this page I wasn't sure about. I think the houses appeared out of place. It's probably because it's European and I'm American. However, update 38 was Amazing! The little row of shops in 38.5 looked very good, and the tunnel in 38.6 was absolutely PERFECT. It is with a sad heart and a heavy face, with a light in my throat and a lump in my eye, that we must reluctantly turn from Port de Soller. I've enjoyed my stay. If past experience is anything, Son Moix will be at least as good.

PS - those aren't real English idioms, so don't worry if you don't get them. They would read correctly with the adjectives swapped.
