PIM-X SUPPORT

PIM-X has been updated to make it compatible with CAM 2.5 by introducing new features and bugfixes.

More information is available here:
https://www.sc4evermore.com/index.php/downloads/download/29-modding-and-creation-tools/21-sc4pim

WARNING TO MAC USERS

Unfortunately Colossus Addon Mod 2.5 and later versions will only work for the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsoft Windows and Linux only).

This means that macOS users and all users using a different version of SimCity 4 will not be able to use CAM 2.5 or higher.

If CAM is installed on unsupported systems you may experience mod and game malfunctions and will not be able to receive support.

So it is recommended to use SimCity 4 version 1.1.641 which is available on GOG, Steam and EA App and for Mac users it is recommended to use WINE or Virtual Machine to run the Microsoft Windows digital version of SimCity 4.

LEGACY CONTROLLER

The additional controllers in CAM 2.1.0 have been removed and made obsolete.

Unfortunately, it was decided to remove the legacy controller download as the implemented changes are too extensive and the proper functioning of the game could no longer be guaranteed.

If you had read the DLL Dependencies section you would know that in order for AWM (Advanced Water Management) to work you need to install Query Tool UI Extensions DLL for SimCity 4.

    Great work here! really impressed!

Although I have a small doubt/question. is it supposed to have two (different)copies of each of Maxis utilities, or did I do something wrong on the installation process? *:???:

No. You committed an error in the installation process. You need to install Maxis Building Blocker which blocks the original Maxis buildings.

Hey, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but I’m not sure where else to go. For context, I’ve already installed the Colossus Addon Mod (CAM), then I came across this mod: Colossus Addon Mod Modpacc Zero and I was wondering about the dependency list. There’s a mod that seems to already be included in the main CAM (Web Button Improvement), or at least its functionality is. Doesn’t that mean adding it as a dependency would be redundant? Also, I don’t really understand the purpose of that mod. Does it add supplementary features that aren’t included in CAM? Or is it basically a lite version of CAM that’s alright to be used with SPAM and/or vanilla, like how NAM Lite works? Can I just ignore most, if not all, of the dependencies since they don’t seem to affect textures? Thanks!

CAM is currently undergoing a reorganization of files in order to be as modular as possible with SC4Pac and minimize conflicts between CAM and SPAM / Vanilla.

But to do that I have to upload more downloads like CAM Core, CAM Modpacc Zero, CAM Controller etc.. and that is why the next version the installation procedure of CAM will be only through SC4Pac and manual procedure will be discouraged. Also, the transition from CAM 2.1.1 to CAM 2.5+ will no longer be supported so it is recommended to start a new region if you are using CAM 2.1.1. This rule will be in effect by CAM 3.0

Later on there will be an official annucnce between CAM and SPAM / Vanilla allowing to finally solve a famous community problem.

For now I suggest you ignore the download until an announcement comes out
