#20yearsSC4 Challenge
A tribute to the creativity that gives us to SimCity 4

 

After the horror and the supernatural finally starts the magic period and to conclude the #20yearsSC4 Challenge we decided to finally do a final challenge involving:

 Winter & Christmas Challenge

The Challenge

The challenge will be divided into three distinct sections:

The Gameplay Challenge

The BAT & LOT Challenge

The Map Challenge

The participant will have freedom to choose whether to participate in which category of the challenge and can participate in multiple categories of the challenge.

Rules of the challenge

If you want to participate in the challenge, you must first read the challenge code of conduct. These rules apply to all challenges, and complying with these rules allows the challenges to run more smoothly.  You can see the code of conduct for the challenges here:

 

In addition, the three challenges will have these additional rules:

The Gameplay Challenge

• Aesthetics: The player must try to recreate environments in a realistic way
• Gameplay: There are no restrictions on the mods to be used but it is recommended to use the Christmas, Snow and Mountain mods
• Creativity. The player must be creative in creating the environments

To facilitate this challenge, we have created a list of recommended mods that are winter and Christmas-themed mods

The BAT & LOT Challenge

• Aesthetics: The modder must try to recreate asset in a realistic way
• Creativity. The modder must be creative in creating the asset
• Modding: The modder must create assets related to the winter and/or Christmas theme
• To participate in the BAT challenge, the player must exclusively post the mod to STEX following the Freddy Fazbear Pizzeria mod posting scheme and post the link here

The Map Challenge

• There must be at least 5 out if the following types of geographic features: River navigable by ferry - Lakes or/and lagoons - Coastline - Islands (in rivers, coastlines or lakes, or main landmass is island) - Cliffs - Peninsula - Hills or/and mountains -Crater, volcano or/and canyon
• To participate in the Map challenge, the player must exclusively post the mod to STEX following the Freddy Fazbear Pizzeria mod posting scheme and post the link here

 

Instructions 

To participate you must post your images within this thread by January 31 2024 All images received from January 31 onward will be excluded. The voting phase will be announced after two weeks (around February 15, 2024) to complete the verification steps and resolve irregularity issues. Voting lasts one month and will end March 14, 2023 (approximately)

DEADLINE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CHALLENGE: JANUARY 31, 2024
