Hi everybody. This is probably an old question but I can't find the answer. After years away from the game I have returned to it now I have more time on my hands. Unfortunately I could not load my original disc version so I purchased a version from GOG. I have installed NAM and I installed MandelSoft StoplightReplacement, choosing LHD. I ran the languages setup and chose UKEnglish. But even though the turning lanes etc are showing on the correct side (Left), the traffic signals are on the wrong side. I read somewhere about changing regedit, but it was an old post and obviously doesn't suit Windows 10 because I cannot find what I was supposed to find in regedit. Can anybody help me?

This is an irritation of mine..... that and the traffic lights which disappear when building draggable TiA (particularly at roads, avenues are fine, other than the signals being on the wrong side ------ you'd think that the people's necks would be getting stiff having to look up at the lights  xD )

Welcome to Simtropolis! *:)

My inclination is how perhaps there's something not quite configured correctly in your NAM installation, or possibly a component overriding causing this. I'm unsure if it might help this issue specifically with the traffic lights on the other side, but there's a well written tutorial which @rsc204 made on how to do this.

As follows:

Just posting it here in case the same process explained might apply here also.

LHD support can be fairly limited and pretty much works best with custom mods designed for them, I'd recommend the Stoplight Replacement Mod (link in the tutorial).

Note that SRM has not been updated for a while and some of the newer NAM features, particularly Flex Turn Lanes and Quick Turn are unsupported. When you see the original Maxis models, it's an unsupported setup, if you see the override SRM models in RHD configuration, that's a bug. I do intend one day to sort out the LHD version myself, since I too want everything where it should be for my game. But the mechanism that handles this, T21s are very time consuming and complex to configure for correct operation. If it happens, it'll be a while.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

Hi team, I am getting frustrated because I can't find an answer anywhere. NAM has done a great job with making my traffic drive on the left side of roads etc but I cannot get the traffic signals to appear on the correct side. I came across a couple of old answers but none of them work. I installed Mandel Stoplight replacement but that only changes the appearance, not the position. Is there a miracle answer somewhere? I would really appreciate your help as I have only just finally found the time to get back into SC4 after many years.

Speaking as someone who both uses LHD and a NAM developer, I assure you there is no newer mod than SRM. Whilst it doesn’t support NAM features added after it’s release, it’s otherwise the most complete such mod.

Your screenshot seems to be of the NAM 36 feature, FTLs or Quick-turn. Neither of those networks will be covered by the mod. Since it’s developer is no longer active in SC4 modding, it won’t happen unless someone else does the work.

    Hello,

I know that this is an old thread. But just thought to let all know that the above illustrated problem is resolved in NAM 49 v1. Maybe it was resolved earlier, but I am not sure when. See below:

Just in case anyone comes across it, I did post an update to SRM supporting FTLs a while back:
