Cannot find RD/RHW, OWR/RHW, AVE/RHW puzzle pieces in NAM 49
PB-12 replied to PB-12's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
Thanks @Tarkusfor the detailed explanation. I will probably go, remove NAM 41 and reinstall NAM 49 with your valued suggestions. -
Well, I have the game all patched up (4GB patch), NAM-41, etc. It is an online version from GoG - got it real cheap for $4. (I have the Disk version also but my laptop does not have a DVD-ROM). Anywho ... This topic remains alive. I have two cities next to each other. I connected then using RHW4. I can only see freight trucks using that during the morning commute. I have plopped bus stations in both cities, etc., but cars and buses do not use the RHW. Do note that both cities have a very healthy population (45K and 102K) and RCW usage. Then I constructed an Avenue connection between the two and suddenly (after 6 months of game play), the Avenue is full of traffic - bumper to bumper - both ways, day or night (evening). I tried using the Radical setting on Traffic Simulator - no joy. I even upgraded to NAM-49. It has its own issues: Can someone help? I have seen videos by @Haljackey that have very high RHW usage from neighbouring connections.

Cannot find RD/RHW, OWR/RHW, AVE/RHW puzzle pieces in NAM 49
PB-12 posted a topic in NAM & Transit Networks
I was using NAM-41 till very recently. I am an on-off player. Recently, I decided to reboot into SimCity 4. I found the latest NAM-49 available. So I was excited, downloaded NAM-49 and installed it. But I am facing issues with it. The ROAD over RHW and AVE over RHW puzzle pieces, as seen here: So I cannot build custom/tight diamond interchanges like these: I, therefore, uninstalled NAM-49 (much to my disappointment) and went back to NAM-41. Can anyone indicate where these above puzzle pieces are? I saw that NAM-49 has some pre-fabricated diamond interchanges but these were too large, especially for small cities. Besides I would like to have the control to build my own. -
Traffic signals on wrong side of road

Hello, I know that this is an old thread. But just thought to let all know that the above illustrated problem is resolved in NAM 49 v1. Maybe it was resolved earlier, but I am not sure when. See below:- 9 Replies

SimCity 4 Crashes when loading city tile
PB-12 replied to Pioneer's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
A bit late perhaps. I was not playing SimCity for quite a while (but all my creations since 2004) were intact. So the CTD thingy happened to me recently. I (re) installed the game on my new Windows 10 laptop (from disks). The game wouldn't work because Windows 10 had changed the DRM concept. So I used the no-disk required .EXE to run the game. My 2008 and newer cities were loading fine but some of my older ones crashed. So I painstakingly went on disabling the mods (moved all mods from 'plugins' folder to outside it) and then enabling them one by one. My own "bulls-eye" came at the "Functional Landmarks" mod. I had the "allinone.dat" installed. This mod makes the landmarks have jobs, etc. I had old landmarks without jobs plopped in my cities. This caused a conflict and game used to crash. This is clearly mentioned in the "readme" file: First and most importantly, there are some steps to be taken before installing or removing this mod. If you currently have landmarks in ANY of your cities, you MUST demolish them before you can install this mod. If you don't, you will not be able to enter any cities with landmarks already in them, because the game will crash to the desktop. The same goes for removing the mod. If you build any landmarks with jobs but then decide you no longer want the mod, you MUST demolish them before you uninstall the mod, or you will again not be able to enter any cities with them. But I guess, one forgets this, especially when everything has been working with other cities. -
