Hi folks,

here's a question for the texture gurus: is there a list with all the texture IID ranges available?

The reason is, I am looking for the texture behind the range number 0xf27005d5
So far I wasn't able to locate it. I checked out every texture, that I have available, but no luck!
Any idea, who made this textures? Any help is highly appreciated!

Kind regards!

Well, it's probably a pretty old one - before 2007 when the SC4D BSC Texture Index thread got going:

https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=2101.0

The first range given out on that thread opened at F3500000.

Just looking at my BSC/BSCTextures folder, there are a couple dozen possibilities from before that time. Maybe someone knows of a tool that makes it easy to sift through everything?

Edit: it's not in my BSC folder, but the ranges included in BSC Textures Vol02 do encompass the ID you are looking for. So it is probably somewhere in the timeframe of the original release dates of the packs that got rolled up into BSC Vol02. Hope that helps.

I'm guessing this is an unlisted dependency on something you've downloaded? Any chance of a link to the content in question, it might help clear things up, since it's more likely someone will recognise a texture than it's ID.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

No, unfortunately it's not in a download. I've re-lotted the original Maxis Medical Center awhile ago, and today I figured, that I am missing this texture. So I had it once already, but it's not there anymore. Obviously I didn't pay enough attention, when I picked it, duh... Otherwise I would've made a note about this texture. *:read:
It's probably the best and easiest way to remove it and replace it with a common and well known texture anyway. *:D But I thought, I ask the gurus here first!

    Thx and kind regards!

Seems like as good as any place to ask about 4 textures which I'd like to find. In the file Dry Stone Walls by @ShandyPest the lots with the brown paths are (to me) unknown textures.

Here's the image from the download:

    DryStoneWalls.jpg

    IIDs are:

    • 1DA48000 (used on two lots)
    • 1DA49000
    • 1DA4A000
    • 1DA4B000

    You'll find these in  PEG_MTP_SUPER_TEXTURES_PAK (48-4b),  and also   BSC_Textures_Vol1 (not 4b)

Testing the Walls with an empty Plugins folder, upon installing the BSC Textures Vol 01.dat file (available here), they appear to correspond with the preview pic except the missing texture for the "Dry Stone Wall Cross" (as @rivit found being the 4B IID).

    As follows:

Dry Stone Walls - Missing Texture Test 01.jpg

Then installing the PEG_MTP_SUPER_TEXTURES_PACK.dat file included with this package, I noticed how this texture and the other paths were replaced with a similar texture which fits, though is slightly different than the original.

    Like so:

Dry Stone Walls - Missing Texture Test 02.jpg

With the BSC Textures Vol 01 still present in my Plugins, this made me suspect they shared the same IIDs.

Sure enough this is confirmed running a DataNode scan:

Dry Stone Walls - PEG MTP Texture Override.png

Here we can see how they're all overridden by the PEG MTP texture set due to the loading order.

Adding a "z" onto the file of the BSC set and it makes them override the MTP textures. The exception is for the 1DA4B000 one which isn't included in BSC Vol 1, and so that shows up from the MTP pack, but it doesn't match visually with being a different style of path. I suspect since the Dry Stone Walls were uploaded in 2005, this was using an older dependency pack which has since been consolidated into the merged MEGA ones as are commonly linked to as dependencies.

I imagine the MTP has deliberately used the same IIDs with the idea of it being a rural themed override to be used instead of the BSC Vol 1. So maybe using the MTP one is the way to go, unless anyone knows the whereabouts of a legacy file which would have the missing Cross path texture as per the original as lotted.

@rivit and @Cyclone Boom Thanks to both of you for your help. *:)

I went with the MTP pack, extracted the 4 textures, and made myself a file called DryStoneWallsPathsTextures.dat. They show up fine now. Until I'm ready to go the full MTP Theme set I'd rather not install a 2,704 KB file for 4 lonely textures. *;)
