Hi, I'm editing the properties like the costs/monthly costs of a building in iLives Reader, but I can't find the properties for Cap Relief anywhere in the exemplars. Is it tied with "Landmark Effect"? I'm trying to edit a building so it provides demand cap relief, etc.

Also, how or what property do you change to edit the desirability effects for wealth groups for a building? (like CO$$$, R$$, etc.)

The properties that would effect desirability in Building exemplars would be Park Effect (affecting development of Residential buildings), and Landmark Effect (affecting development of CO and CS buildings).  You cannot target wealth groups in the Building exemplar.  If I'm reading the exemplars mentioned below correctly, values for Park Effect can vary within a range of -100 to +100 DQ at a maximum radius of 10 cells; values for Landmark Effect can vary within a range of -200 to +200 at a maximum radius of 20 cells

The way that different things affecting desirability affect different developer types / wealth levels is determined by the Developer exemplars in SimCity_1.dat.  There is a separate Developer exemplar for each developer type / wealth level, i.e. 12 different exemplars.  There are other Developer exemplars that deal with such things as airports, seaports, and landfills, but there are no properties dealing with desirability in those exemplars.

So desirability for a particular lot is determined by proximity to different things:  crime, pollution, radiation, schools, hospitals, trip length, traffic, parks, landmarks, etc.  Some values for a particular (exemplar) property will vary between the different wealth levels.  Some values for a particular property may be 0 if that particular property isn't pertinent to a particular developer type, for example:  proximity to schools and hospitals are pertinent only to development of Residential lots; these properties have no affect on commercial or industrial development; so values for those properties will be 0 in Developer exemplars for all Commercial and Industrial developer types.

Don't forget that you can't directly modify any exemplar in SimCity_1.dat.  Also be aware that CAM modifies the above mentioned exemplars (creates copies of the exemplars which will override those in SimCity_1.dat), as these exemplars define Stage limits.  Other mods may also similarly modify different parts of these exemplars.

Hope this all makes sense.
