I am playing small towns, very rural for now, and I love WMP garden allotments Paths, especially as they can be separated from his Allotments pack. But. They're datpacked. And they take a helluvah space in the park menu. I was wondering if it is possible to de-datpack them so one could choose which to keep and which to leave, as I am definitely not using ALL of the pieces. Is it ?

O....K.... I think I'll need someone to hold my hand if I try this at home. (hm... do I even have Reader ? Must check...)

A bit of file management will save you grief in the future. Save the original, unedited download somewhere outside your plugins folder (create a system of folders that makes sense to you). Save a copy under a new name that indicates what you started with and what you're doing to it. Only edit your own version.

Years from now, when you see the dat file in your plugins directory, you'll instantly recognize it as a one-off and not the original. That'll stop you from wondering why some element described in the readme is not to be found when you play the game (and you can swap in or re-edit from another copy of the original if you decide you want some of those missing elements).

I'm afraid I have a lot of lots in triplicates ! But yes, I always copy before I change (when I write). So it should translate easily into my Reader's management. If I ever get to manage it. But, hey, I did manage to configure it. I think. I will tackle those exemplars tomorrow. I'm mentally exhausted :-) (Expect to have me back here tomorrow, too...)
