@Evanjs Funny thing is that I was already considering some what you mentioned as possible future project(s) down the road.

Progress report: For the little signs, just 6 to go. Then it is on to the larger signs. Some changes include that Hardee's & Carl Jr.'s (same company) can use the same signage since there is no actual name on the sign. Since I had already created a couple of Dunkin' Donuts, that is the one brand I will be doing signs for both modern (just Dunkin') style and an older style suitable for my past designs.

(Looks like I forgot to give a checkmark to Long John Silvers. That is done as well.)

Things will slow down a bit though now for IRL reasons.

With the LJS are you doing a older style or a newer style? Also what about one that has a A&W with it.

Standalone LJS signs that are newer. I don't plan to do any combination brand signs at this time.

Very Wonderful!!!  I can definitely use the Burger King Sign or the New Subway Sign for sure.

Have you ever considered a Freestanding Dunkin Donuts??  I used the same restaurant from another file and the building style looked as if everything (Building, Drive Thru and Signs) was inserted all together.

I did do a Dunkin' Donuts outparcel in the Vons shopping center, though it was specifically designed to match the plaza's architecture. Because of this, there is a possibility I may do a more generic one.

I worked at one, and I honestly can't remember what that place had. More or less a time-card punching job out in the toolies. A Bob's Big Boy would be nice. *;)

While going through research mode of props of signs and such to make, Big Boy actually came up as a potential one to do- especially after seeing Frisch's Big Boy in operation on my Cincinnati trip. To be honest if I did do a Big Boy, it'd probably be modeled off of a Frisch's simply because they have almost double the amount locations that Bob's does.

While I didn't make any signs for Big Boy, I may do it in the future. We'll see. Right now I'm a bit too loaded to take requests.

I think Frischs also makes the most since as yea bobs big boy is older Frischs is much bigger. With locations as far West as Indianapolis Indiana, and Louisville Kentucky. As far North as Toledo Ohio, as far northeast as Cleveland Ohio, and as far south as the Kentucky Tennessee border. With majority of them around 75% of them being in the 1-275 (Cincinnati loop) or along I-75 from Toledo to Somerset Ky (30 minutes from TN border)

@RRetail Ever heard of Rouses Market. I call it the Louisiana equivalent to Publix, a mid-to lower upper scale supermarket. Be neat to see a newer or older Rouses design done.

    image.png.b147dc7ea95796066ee59b819f63ccda.png

This is a newer Rouses design they began using a few years ago.

This is a older Rouses, which looks more like your run of a mill, southern US grocery store.

Not up to my minimum standards of having at least 150 locations. That amount may drop with time as more grocers are made, but we will see.

I get that entirely, they really tend to stay closer to Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Alabama- the very deep south.  79 stores is a good number but yeah they aren't the largest chain and probably wouldn't see a lot of use outside of CJs and cities set in the very deep south, where I'm from they were able to fend off Walmart and other larger retailers and they were one of the reasons why Winn-Dixie left the deep southern portion of Louisiana.

"Rouses Markets is now one of the largest independent grocers and fastest growing family owned companies in the United States." part of my idea was it being one of the largest independent grocers not owned by a large chain, and family owned it may of been a interesting choice.

Gotcha. Personally if they were to expand a little more inland and away from the coast, I'd probably do it a lot quicker. Overall, it's probably a bit higher chance in terms of being made as it does serve a rather decent number of people across some populated areas across the Gulf coast.

IMPORTANT: Prop Pack Vol. 2.3 is now here. This adds a lot of props and such needed for future projects or are props made for general use. A lot of signs in here are related to fast food or restaurants; the fact I made these props does not guarantee that I will make buildings for all of them.

    Love the Pathmark!

I'm going to hit you with another suggestion- this a defunct store. Woolworth did have stores that were stand-alone suburban stores,  especially after they closed their Woolco stores and a lot of them converted to Woolworth or closed though they had suburban stores prior, I think people recognize the Woolworth name more than Woolco, and it be cool to have a proper Woolworth even if it a more suburban. They were a staple to so many towns & cities across the US.

I more specifically think, a Pre-Woolco, suburban standing store would be a neat idea! I can do a mock up of what I mean in Sketchup, not good at 3DMax & all, and it would be a great design basis!

Woolworth store (late 1980's). Location unknown. Large sized store with exterior that makes it look like it may have been… | Vintage mall, Discount stores, Exterior

I like the urban block! I don't see any issues with it. It looks like a newly built structure and that's pretty cool to see among some of the urban stuff we have here on Simtropolis.

If anything, maybe a little bit of weathering on the sides? Not too much. But I like the way it looks right now, personally. Kind of has the appearance of a newly built or a well maintained shopping center.

Overall, this is a fine lot for a great game! Thanks!

See, I think that's my biggest issue. It looks too clean to me. Pulling off weathered and grungy looks is something I just don't know how to do.

I'm glad you like it and all, but it definitely was not my intention to have it be that way. Oh well, at least I gave it a try.
