Last time I'm updating prop pack 4. Any new props or textures from this point will be in future prop packs unless otherwise stated.

Well, I'm honestly not sure what to do. I've tried lowering the building, raising the building and no matter what I do I still get the z-striping as seen in the picture. What is most frustrating is that I don't see this issue until the game loads up. I'm wondering if this is because the building is at an angle?

Should I just release it and call it good or is their another way to resolve this problem? I'm open to sending this to a technical user to sort out if they know how.

Your opinion is noted. I'll wait a little longer to get others feedback.

Phase II is looking very nice! I like how cohesive the building and lot appear. *

Two things in my experience can cause the strange shadow effect.

    1) Night darkening and or shadow mods: try the building in an empty plugins to see if this fixes it. I don't think it is the culprit, but it's worth checking.

    2) After you modeled the building, when you rotated it, did you rotate the LOD boxes as well? That can cause this strange effect: particularly if the LOD boxes (either 45 or 90 degrees) have the bottom part below the z plane. Try merging the model into a new scene (don't select the lods/tb2 camera, etc....just the elements that you modeled) and re-rendering.

Thanks, I'll give these a try.

The z-stripe issue can be noticed, but I honestly want to move from this project. If anyone wants to play around with the building(s) feel free to do so.

    @pclark06 You got it!

@kingofsimcity I thought you might like this. It was actually something I was considering doing when I was making the basketball hoop, but put off in the hopes I might pursue this project.I can say its a bit of fresh air for me not doing a store. (Though I fully intend to make more stores as I like to think I'm a self-taught retail expert. :D)

@Evanjs I'm honestly not sure how to respond to that. :P

Maybe a Kmart with a Sears Auto center could work as well?

I'm basing this off my local store where there is no auto center present. There's honestly so many little things that could be done to make something different and this suggestion falls into that category. Perhaps if I make a super Kmart I'll add one there.

Many Super Kmarts has them (not all but many) it was also a Big Kmart thing also. Some Kmart also has Sears  appliance stores inside “which didn’t make sense bc Kmart still sold them anyways” and also a couple had Kcafe, and Play Game Center’s, and or  Sears appliance fix it shops also!

You don't have to tell me, I'm a bit of a self-taught Kmart expert. I've been to 50+ different locations so I'm aware of all the different things they had.

I'm a bit hesitant about adding a Sears Auto Center because so few stores actually had them. Its kind of the same deal with the other stuff you mentioned. Sure I could do it, but I'm not sure it be worthwhile to pursue making a variant of a building just to add something that so few locations actually even had.

Yes the one two that is the most common was the Game room and Sears Auto. Many of the others wasn’t all that common in Kmart only maybe a Handful has them.

Also, most of the auto centers closed long before the actual stores did. Both of the ones near me had the out lot auto centers. They both got put up for sale when the closed. One got bought up and made into an independant auto repair place. The other stayed vacant for something like 10 years  before they gave up and just tore it down. One of those stores was the very first Kmart to open. Its only a few miles from my house.

Yeah the original Kmart stores (built in the 1960s) had standalone auto centers in the parking lots. The 70s stores and later designs brought them to being attached to stores. Most 80s stores for some reason did not have any whatsoever. Only select '90s locations had them. The plan was for a lot of stores that didn't have them auto centers, was to build them separately if the location were to have become a supercenter. But then the 2002 bankruptcy happened.
