don't mind the brown boxes lol...

there's something really wrong with my game. ever since installing the Super Demand Mod, which I already uninstalled because I found it too complicated, my industry zones are bugging, like, only very small industrial buildings are growing and not those huge buildings, such as the picture below. btw I have a different demand mod installed this time and it's called "radicle RCI demand/graph mod"

how can i fix this?

I wonder if the demand mod is not behind your troubles. Industrial buildings actually fall into three "groups", Anchor, Mech and Outbuildings. So a main complex will grow first, then some ancillary buildings, lastly small "fillers" like you are seeing will fill in any gaps.

If you have no mods installed that alter the behaviour of Industrial lots directly, then something is messing with how the games mechanics usually work here. That points to something in your plugins folder.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

For a test, try Ctrl-Zoning. Hold down the Control key, point your cursor to a tile adjacent to a road and then zone a 3x3 or 4x4 zone and see what develops. Depending on the stage of your game I've also done 2x4 and 4x2 and 5x4 and 6x4 and they will grow. The nice thing about Ctrl-Zoning for industry is that forces it to grow a single building and skip the tiny stuff. The caveat, ofc, is that there must be a matching footprint in the data files. The ones I mentioned work with vanilla. (Again, providing you are at the right stage in your game.) 3x3 always works, btw.

4 billion simoleans in your city's coffers and demand is still through the roof all the way across!  I have never even hit 100 million myself, even with a super metropolis

If I were going to guess (and I am going to) I'd say that dough didn't all come from taxes. ;)

You don't need money park mods. If you have the Extra Cheats DLL installed, you can use the Moolah cheat to set your money to whatever value you want. So, for example, if you want to have $1,000,000, you type Moolah 1000000 and hit enter and the money you have in your treasury will be set to that value.

    type Moolah

While this is prolly the main way peeps do it, I personally like to have my income vs expenses to be positive so I have a sustainable budget. I initially used the money parks I found on the STEX and I used the lowest per month income one to start with. When I got to running a deficit again I'd just plop another one. Now that I know enough about modding, I made my own tweaked so the Ag multiplies the tax income by 5 and that lets me afford full Maxis fire and health coverage in my farm region. I also altered the Open Grass Area park to have an expense of minus one instead of costing me 10. ;)

The way I see it, either keeping to the budget is important to you or it isn't. The second you start cheating (adding income you don't deserve), that tells me this part of the game doesn't matter to you. So if you are going to cheat, make life easy for yourself and just give yourself cash with "Moolah".

The real aversion I have to using mods for this, they can have unintended side effects, you have to be certain they are modded correctly. Why take the chance, when I know I need a million in funding for a highway project, which the government decided to fund for regional development :D!! I just give myself a cash injection. Like many players I too try to keep my monthly budget in surplus though. I just won't let a piffling factor like money stop my grand transportation plan.

@olegario39 I could be totally wrong, but I think some of the larger industrial buildings may require water to grow as well (or at least they may grow more readily with water). Maybe try adding some pipes if your zones aren't watered yet.
