@CorinaMarie is creating a big list of most available terrain mods: all the links are already there, but when finished it will include images to ease comparison between them:

As @matias93 said, the Terrain Shoppe is still under construction. However these are ready to go with pics:

Tho within the terrain mods I've shot so far (the first 5 on the list) I've also found some have Rock, Water, and Beach mods in them so I've shot them as separate pics in their corresponding tiles to add to the above shoppes.

In general, if you can run Hardware rendering for graphics, you'd prolly like the HD textures the best. There are 5 known Terrain mods in HD and are so labeled in my thread.

My personal favourite is Gobias' Berner Oberland, but you might find that a tad too green. Gobias' Sudden Valley is also excellent, as is Lowkee's Appalachian. All of these are HD mods and will require your game runs under DirectX (Hardware Rendering) to work.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

The cool thing about it is , with most of these terrain mods . You can swap/mix different beach , water and rock mods as well . And have your own unique combination that suits your preferences . @CorinaMarie is on point with pics and links , and has made choices much easier for me to make .
