Nice work! Where did you get the embankments on the right hand side of the RHW?

Looks very nice, I like the irregular shapes of the farm fields and the trees between them. Though I think there's some room for improvement ;) First of all, I'd suggest you to replace the old Maxis highway with a RHW. Also you could use smooth curve pieces for the roads and streets.

Thank You! I love constructive criticism! :golly:

The only problem I have to admit is my trouble with RHW. I originally planned to use it but I'm not a road junkie at all, I find its so complicated and I haven't really been able to find a thorough guide on using it. The only way I thought I could semi-solve this problem was to use maxis highways with different textures. I know it makes everything look so blocky and the real secret to making amazing rural areas is to avoid "blockyness" as much as possible. I'll see what I can do.

How do you deal with desirability loss due to traffic (mostly freight trucks)?

One of my first attempts at a farming region- this is a shot of a small hamlet. I'm still learning how to design rural areas, so any constructive criticism/advice is more than welcome.

@ee99, looks cool, but the emptiness of the area around it makes it look a bit odd.

My own:

Jmarshall: Nice work, but they would look a lot better if you used the SAM to change them to dirt or gravel streets.

Great looking farms Jmarshall! I really like work with MMPs to get the terrain look rural and rugged, though I agree using SAM dirt roads would make it look better. Besides that, it looks amazing :)

Nice farmland pics :) and good use of SPAM. I think the windmills look a little odd in the middle of the fields though. My suggestion would be to plop them in their own smaller fields with surrounding fences, much like the cattle field.

Check out my CJ Spedbury, here :)

The town that I recently have been working on, Millsboro, started as a farming town that has now grown to over 8k inhabitants.

I am really proud of the two following pictures because this is seriously the first time I have ever been able to create a working train system in a town.
