Is this game coming to xbox one?

I love the game but i play on a labtop with a broken screen.  Dont really want to buy a new computer just for this game but heard it might be released on xbox one.  Any insight into this?  Release date?  Same quality of game?  Ect ect.

Apparently it should see release this year. Although I haven't heard a lot about it since the big announcement last year. Suggests to me it'll be either delayed or perhaps cancelled.

As for the quality of the game, that depends on two things that consoles are not usually known for being good at:

• Supporting mods, realistically this needs to work with existing mods for the PC version, or it'll be a hollow experience by comparison.
• Using a controller to play. Yes, with some smart design decisions it's totally possible. But with the exception of the original SimCity, which was great on SNES, every console adaption of a simulator has been terribly frustrating with a controller. Why when a console has USB ports can't we plug in a Keyboard/Mouse? Geez the Dreamcast supported them! But MS really don't want you to use them with an Xbox, probably because it would annoy players of FPS games who'd argue those with a keyboard/mouse would have an unfair advantage. So better to hobble their systems to keep them happy .

One of thne devs confirmed it's still in production.

My guess is it will come with Natural Disasters release this winter.  This is the longest CO have went without patches, so I assume they're working hard with Microsoft.  Hopefully it'll be a CSL 2.0 type of release.  It needs a major overhaul and it's been well over a year since announcement.

Sinced xbone uses wsin 10 now, it should port easily, so hopefully there are major changes, hopefully mouse/keyboard support.

Supposedly! The developers have said that it is in the works. As someone has already stated, it's likely that they will release it with the Natural Disasters expansion, to make sure that the game has a lot of features to offer to the console community.
