Clay River Valley

It's been a while since I have posted anything, having spent some months with Cities Skylines. As much as I liked the modern features of that game, it still lacked the realism of SC4,
so I started back with some relearning.

Oakland is a small city located in an area of rolling hills, along the Clay River which got it's name due to the grayish color it becomes during spring run off. Currently the city has a population  of about 22,000, and is the county seat and economic hub of the region. It started out as a transfer center for the three rail roads that intersect there. It continued as a transportation hub as roads were built. We join the city as two legs the National Turnpike System finishes are finished.

I like the layout of the town and the road networks, good use of bridges as well and it's always cool to see a city grow out.

I noticed you have a couple of tv towers in your city, both guyed and free standing. I always get excited when I see another member making use of such structure, as it's a favorite of mine The models you have are older, here's a few links to newer versions, guyed and free standing which are my own.

Thanks for the reply and kind words. I like to place some Telecommunication towers in a city, you always see them approaching real life cities. I will most definitely be using some of the ones you gave me links to! 

I work at an airport so I enjoy putting them together. Glad you like it.

   Nice CJ you have going on here . Open space , forested areas and a cool road layout . Oh and a nice airport too . I'll be back to see how this CJ evolves , nicely done so far . 

   BTW I gave this a 5 star rating , because your text is large enough I can read it without my glasses .  I thought your username looked familiar . Oakland County , I vaguely remember it , I tried to refresh my memory . Too bad the images are now missing .

I was inactive for awhile and noticed my images were missing. Haven't had time to look into it.

The most common parking lot set is the HH Modular Parking set. I comes with a variety of pieces including road connections. Let me know if this is what you were asking for.
