Anyone can tell where we at?

That should be Malmö (MMX) or previously Malmö-Sturup (I guess until 2007-2008?)

Beautiful airport work as always!  *:thumb:

Your current Malmo airport has a straightforward layout that the game engine shouldn't have any problem coping with.  However, I wondered if your much more complex airport from September/October 'played nice' with the game engine?  IIRC I think you may have said at the time that you do mix in some functional gates with those that are there just to look superb?  If that was the case, I guess a designer like yourself could simply make the gates closest to the taxiways and runways the active ones, while using fixed assets only to make make the inner gates that would have clipping and pathing issues.  Kind of related to all of that, by any chance have you taken and posted anywhere videos or some clips showing your airports?  I'd love to see them in action some time!

Aye you are correct regarding placing the real gates closest to the runway. This is what i did with my Kastrup airport. however I never got the chance to try them out since i reached the prop-limit which made me abandon that project. My current project, Malmo, should work i'd say. So far I have incorporated 2 gates at the terminal and 1 gate at the hangar area. This will probably be more than enough for a airport of this size. I will let you know how it works out once i've tried it :-)

The airside of the main terminal area is more or less complete. Still alot of work to do on the none airside area.

Here's an aerial view of how far I've come:

Part of one of the two cargo aprons:

Parking space for staff/crew with the parking garage on the left side:

    The terminal building:

Next area of focus will probably be the hangar area/general aviation.

    Stay tuned!

The hangar/GA-area is more or less completed.

First, a  mandatory "overview shot" of the whole airport:

The Hangar area (bottom left is the GA hangars)

    The "Main Gate":

    NpTdtzg.jpg

    szJZV8y.jpg

Almost complete with finishing up the parking areas aswell as the hotel.

The next thing to complete will most likely be the runways/taxiways and/or the night lightning.

    Stay tuned!

    And it's done!

Think I'm more or less done with the airport for now. Might come back for some more detailing later.

    The complete airport:

A small apron for GA, "Apron West":

    A few random shots:

Next step will be to work on the area surrounding the airport.

    .

    Until then!

A few shots of the surrounding area and the different approaches of the runways:

First the approach (quite an off-set but still) of runway 17:

Some small local companies with quite a nice location being that close to the airport:

    A small harbor:

The approach for runway 35 takes you above a village on final.

The approach for the smaller runway 11 (only used for GA-traffic):

The start of what is to become the main city of the map!

This part of the map is quite hilly

    51mcmp3.jpg

    Another small'ish port:

    gfSnhtt.jpg

    A school:

    EuhlAPh.jpg

A railway cuts through the landscape:

    bkgDgdB.jpg

    RfKTpKc.jpg

Again, some hilly lanscape with the "fun" type of roads that comes with it:

    LVX1YZa.jpg

    SfIuuQK.jpg

Even though it might be hard to see on the screens up on the hilltop is where the more dense part of town will begin:

    UPG8Qzx.jpg

    That's it for now :-)

Good times at the football field is guaranteed!

One of the railways that goes through the town:

    auLMDR3.jpg

    hYv1UTv.jpg

A more dense part of the town. Still some gaps to fill in!

A big factory in the outskirts:

Right now im working on a small railyard (cargo)

    See ya soon!

Beautiful work as always - I especially love your rail yards and the two factories!  A couple of questions if you have the time and interest?

I think you mentioned up above your plan or build for active versus prop airport gates, and I think you were planning three active gates closest to the runways.  Did everything work out ok with flow through the airport, or did you have to fight the simulation to get it working well?

Do you factories 'work' in the sense of needing raw materials and generating supplies for your shops?  If yes, did you achieve that by adding in some functional warehouses, or did you assemble the factories with functional non-warehouse buildings?  Do the rail terminals (if that's the right word?) inside the factory boundaries function for receiving raw materials and shipping finished goods?

What are the assets you used for what you've called your mineral elevator?  I'm curious whether they're modular in the sense of being individual elements that subscribers can assemble in different ways to create their own unique buildings.

    Thank you JohnAkaMrP!

Actually i kinda fu**ed up with the taxiways/runways on the last build, in which i forgot to drag them in the right direction. If i were to change them I would destroy alot of concrete work which I am to lazy to redo haha. So for now there is no airplanes taking off / landing.

The factories do work indeed. Most of the factories you see (except the silos) are functional.  I think I have two cargo stations that work properly (spawning trains and so on).

These are the main components of the mineral terminal:
