Hey hey hey!

 

Been busy working on the downtown area, which is quite some work!

Only a small part is yet complete but here's what i got so far:

 

The Central Station. In the background you spot what is to become the modern part of the downtown with a few taller buidlings. This part is far from complete though.

 

One of three mayor in/out flows of the city:

Still some gaps to fill in and alot of detailing to be done :-)

So anyway...still working on the port.

So far i've got one container terminal, one cruise ship terminal, one "mineral terminal" and one ferry terminal.

Next step will be to add an oil terminal aswell.

Next up I will either continue with another part of the port or ill start with the downtown area...not sure yet :-)

Time for some skyscrapers!

Bit bigger update than usual, hope you dont mind!

 

Been focusing on the downtown area, atleast the part towards the port.

 

Quite a dense part of the city with the port in the background.

 

One from the opposite angle:

 

On the right; the monorail and the highway connecting the port to the downtown: (bottom left in the second shot)

 

A big focus while building this project has been the port and marinas.

 

There are three main types of public transportation in the city at this point; Bus, Tram and Monorail.

In the shot below you can spot one of the tram lines going across the bridge:

Still quite some work to be done with the downtown area., but we'll get there!

Crappy Swedish weather means alot of indoor time!

 

Ill start of with a overview shot.

Im currently working on the central station (top middle of the shot).

The outer parts of the downtown (which will be mostly industrial) still has a long way to go. I have more or less just placed the roads and some of the buildings.

 

The central business district which will house the tallest buildings in the city:

 

As stated earlier, I have focused alot on the rivers with the marinas and so on.

 

To the left you can spot the central station (WIP)

 

One of the main bus hubs in the city. This one is just next to the central station:

Heya!

 

Been a while since the last update. Havnt had that much time to play but some progress has been made:

 

Overview shot. At the moment the polulation is ~90.000.

 

I completed the central station: (quite small though, almost too small for the size of the city...)

 

An extension of the downtown:

 

One of the biggest attractions of the city, the football stadium!

It can easily be reached with public transportation; Bus/Tram/Monorail:

 

One of the hihways going through the downtown area:

 

The harbour in the background:

 

 

I intend to implement a ferry system in the city. This is the first and only stop so far:

Heya!

 

Here follow the last update of this project. Atleast for the time being.

Current population is around 170.000.

Its quite industrial-heavy compared to the down town area.

My next project will be re-creating my hometown of Malmö/Sweden.

Heya!

Some screens of Malmö!

Still a heavy work in progress, so bear with me!

 

Due to the fact that there was a great asset on the workshop of Malmö Central Station this is where i started the work.

The screen below: Overview of the "passenger part" of the railyard. The two tracks you see going down the tunnel is the "newish" Citytunneln, which goes under central Malmö with a total of 3 stations, Central station, Triangeln and Hyllie.

 

The industrial buildings to the right are currently being demolished on order to house new, modern buildings.

 

A closer look:

 

A common sight, Pågatågen, Öresundstågen and the Intercity SJ-trains

 

The station from another angle.

 

The bus hub in front of the station. (in the look-out for some green buses which is the standard color of the buses that drives in the city, no luck yet though :-( )

As I see, those platforms at the trainstation are longer than normal, which props you've used to extend them? Best seen on image no. 4.

Excuse my bad english, i don't speak it often..

Looks great so far.. what I love the most is the canal on the side, love how it isn't perfectly straight but has those little kinks that make it look much more realistic.

 

The sunken train lines that run to the tunnels on the right side of the train station in the first picture is what I love doing, and playing around with when I play.

 

I really enjoyed this update, can't wait to see more!
