None of those are mine to want back, but I would like to know the titles of them. Perhaps one or more might interest me. Even a guide with missing pictures that contains all the text can be useful. Like here's one Mr. Boom found in the Wayback thinger:

As the the railyard tutorial, that site doesn't seem to exist any longer. The Wayback Machine has the page archived here, but the images aren't showing I'm afraid (kind of the focal point). A shame since it was quite a useful guide. I'll try and find a similar one, or if someone can suggest one.

The most important part, imo, is that it still contains the list of Plugins which were used in the tutorial. The linkys are prolly no good (I din't check) but having the names is half the battle.

I'll post the titles ... hopefully later tonight, Paeng give me a whole pile of bits and pieces he saved from SimPeg ... some things like the forum smilies I can't see anyone wanting, but he was hosting a large number of files created by Krio and Krio has given me permission to have them at CB and also to upload any of his files that are missing from the STEX to the STEX, his files are here

    @catty-cb

Thanks for working on this, and also to Paeng for allowing them to be shared.

If you'd like, you're most welcome to upload any to the STEX (as a bundle or individually). Also if helpful with organisation, a new sub-category could be created in the PLEX section.

I understand this would be a long process, but the tutorials would be a great addition to the Omnibus. I assume they're stored as saved web pages with images? Maybe we could get some volunteers to assist with importing them -- it'd be a shame if such useful info never again made the light of day.

As for the SimPeg smilies, if there's demand, it's possible they could be added to the menu here, alongside the ST ones. :)

Does this mean the coal mine and forestry/lumber cheatsheets items will become available? I would so love to build a coal mine.

    Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

    This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

To be honest I've no idea if I discount Krio's files, the zip file that Paeng given me has 596 files and 69 folders in it, I've uploaded all the files that were in the Scrabblebox folder to the CBEX at CB so people can download them if they are needed.

I've got three folders called Documentation, SIMPOSIUM and Tutorials which have 284 files in them, which is the reason I didn't come back last night with a list of them.

I would hate to have the same situation as happened at SimPeg (not that I or my website are planning on going away but RL sometimes does throw you an unexpected curve ball) so having them on another site ie Simtropolis is the ultimate aim, but at this stage until we can sort out descriptions, pictures, dependencies, etc for them that's someway down the track, as for the tutorials I've just looked at the DAMN tutorial and its a text file with 11 pictures in a separate folder.

33 smilies free to good home  :)

good question ... there are a lot of links in the two documents plus pictures, I'll get them uploaded somewhere in here

If someone wants to grab them after that and get them on the omnibus that would be great  :)

wrong place to post, but as I was coming back here anyway to update my last post ... if you have a windows 10 operating system then I'm afraid you are out-of-luck see this post here

Unfortunately the suggestion of going to a non-disk version isn't going to work SC3K only has the disk versions ... I see you have done another topic on this, I'll just post the link into that one as well.

Anyway back to the topic, I've uploaded the coal and logging documents here

    https://community.simtropolis.com/clubs/26-city-builders-website/cb-documents/12-encyclopaedia

But it looks there should be more than I've found, also most of the links are obsolete, this isn't a problem as I've spent months working out replacement links to all the old simpeg links so its just a matter of updating it, but RL is calling something has gone wrong with the freezer  :)

    Hi,

I found this site on the sandstone of the extenders Paeng, but I've lost again (after formatting), so if anyone can provide me it'll be fine ....

Also, I had the time, the power plant (always paeng) that could be put on the water; the base was a lot of Andreas on Devotion. It seems to me that he had put with two small files to transmit electricity from invisible way ...

Thank you to forward me if you found at the bottom of your folders

I think it's probably the attachment named "Sandstone Booster". Since I don't see it on here or CB, I've attached it to this post.

    :edit May 2019:
I've made a few modifications to the following packs so they are easier to install. I've also updated the readme files/dependency listings.

    Paeng's Sandstone Booster

Add a number of Lot, Prop and Texture based items for your Sandstone (SSt) environment:

    • Alley Extenders
      SSt-AlleyExtenders.jpg.cac2551e64ac8ac922764129521da117.jpg
Plop these lots over your Road network to make functional Sandstone Sidewalk pedestrian areas.
    • Gridbusters
      SSt-Gridbusters.jpg.f726562ae92aa3106a75fbe27fb37fcc.jpg
These lots are good for touching up diagonal sections.
    • Sidings
      SSt-Sidings.jpg.567453160a8cf207578e15e57fe11840.jpg
Add visually interesting boundaries to SSt Alleys and Plazas.

    Dependencies:

    DOWNLOAD Mod - Paeng - Sandstone Booster.zip

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Paeng's Nightowl Extenders (also known as Park Bridge Extender Pack)

    extender_front.jpg.b96ac3545984c6d25c96219cf8986a0f.jpg

A set of extender lots that use Props so textures can extend beyond lots. Perfect for use under bridges/elevated transport networks. This set includes Extenders for Paeng's Sidewalk mod (Rural / $ / $$ / $$$ variants included). In addition to extenders for the Parks 205 and Bikepath sets.

    Dependency List:

    • Paeng's Sandstone Mod
      • NOTE:
Installing this mod will alter all your in-game sidewalks. Of course, without it none of these lots really make sense to use.
Technically, only the file "base_overlay_textures" from this set is needed.

    DOWNLOAD Mod - Paeng - Nightowl Extenders.zip

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

    :edit:
I've noticed another of Paeng's addons, a set of "Extenders" is also nowhere to be found. For the moment, this seems as good a place as any to put it.

    Park Bridge Extender_Pack_v100.zip

Inside are extenders for the Parks 205, Bikepaths and his Sidewalk textures.

I've been searching but I cannot figure out what dependencies I am missing for these sandstone commercial alley/sst com alley extenders. I get a brown box on all but one of the COM alley lots, as well as the extenders. I've downloaded the dependencies listed in the readme file for the alleys/parks/ect, the industrial alley counterpart lots work, but the single-tile COM alley lots/sst extenders do not work, just brown boxes. Do you know what dependencies I might be missing?

After adding making sure I had included that dependency, the brown boxes still keep showing up, am I just using them wrong? I'm at a loss as to what the dependency could be, I've downloaded and installed each dependency listed in the readmes and some other ones from related plugins as well..

I installed a plugin that switches out the brown boxes for the multicolored thing seen in the screenshots. I plopped a variety of the lots with brown boxes showing up, and the tool bar so you can see specifically which lots I mean. The one lot that doesn't have brown boxes is the very first lot listed in the 'com alley' category.

    Thanks.

I do, although a few of them have been locked and replaced, but I've downloaded and installed all of them. BSC essentials links to a new one, which links to another few, and Paeng is at 104 now instead of 103. It's a bit of a mess actually, but I've got them all. Everything included in the two zip files I've installed entirely to the plugin folder.

Also using the override that comes with SWN PSS 1.0

    Thanks

Can confirm we are missing a dependency as I set up a empty plugins folder and installed the Sandstone Booster folder plus the dependencies in my previous post (none of them had been locked or replaced so you may be thinking of something else you installed that had been) also didn't install BSC Essentials  or this

    18 hours ago, junspud said:

as you didn't provide a link to it, on the plus side the number of possible files that could be the missing one is quite small as Paeng used the same dependencies for everything and we have his dependency list here

The links are out-of-date and its been on my to-do-list for quite some time to go thru and update the links, I've run out of day to do any more tonight, so back again tomorrow.

Yes that's right I did put out quite a few posts last year to say that real life had got the better of me and i was shutting down the site ... and that the contents of the website was ...with the permission of the admin staff like  @Cyclone Boom being transferred over to Simtropolis, there is the odd thing that is still in limbo but everything else should be on the STEX, in the omnibus or in the city-builder club.

But that does leave an awful lot of links floating around for the city-builder.info address or the even older one of citybuilders.co.nz and apologies it's not something I've tried to fix or at least not yet I haven't ... it's way at the bottom of my to-do-list

Initially I thought the SG vol 1 was locked, it's not locked though, it's just a newer version which has a few links itself but it can still all be downloaded.

Speaking as staff: No worries. *:)

When a second post has new information it's better than an edit to a prior post as peeps following the thread might've already been beeped and read the prior post. Then if editing they wouldn't notice the update. However, by adding the new post a new beep (notification) is sent and the new information gets read. Basically, when the back to back post is for a legitimate reason we encourage it. This is especially true in a fast moving topic where one realizes something they've posted needs clarified and said post is likely to have already been viewed.

I don't belive how I forgot to follow this topic.
So reading the recent posts, I'm confused. Does it have still missing dependencies? I never experienced missing dependencies on it when I used.

I don't really understand people why the hell don't read the nice colourfull messages on the download pages. Sadly STEX is full of outdated duplicate and conflicting relic prop packs, like the STEX version of the BSC Mega Props SG vol. 1but come on there is a nice message from Corie to guide the player to the right place. I put bunch of warning messages onto the old single SG prop packs, and there is a message on this one as well. I know it very comfortable to download from STEX, but the better updated version is on LEX...

A few more weeks  and finally I'm finishing my current NAM commitments, then I continue to clean these Paeng attachements and bring them to the main exchange.

Thank You for the Continued Support!

Simtropolis depends on donations to fund site maintenance costs.
Without your support, we just would not be in our 24th year online!  You really help make this a great community. *:thumb:

But we still need your support to stay online. If you're able to, please consider a donation to help us stay up and running. This helps sustain a platform where we can share our community creations for years to come.

    STEX Collections

By way of a "Thank You" gift, we'd like to send you our STEX Collector's DVD. It's some of the best buildings, lots, maps and mods collected for you over the years. Check out the STEX Collections for more info.

Each donation helps keep Simtropolis online, open and free!

Thank you for reading and enjoy the site!
