I was playing SC4 one day about a week ago, and found this:

Doesn't that look like a bird to you?

Well I started a new city today called Chatham. So far Chatham has grown to approx 11,000 people in only 2 years and already making a nice profit for me. So I decided to go exploring to see what I could find...3.gif

So then I come to one of major intesections in town where I had just built a Goober Gen Med Clinic as they wanted health coverage in this particular area. No big deal so I build one. The exact moment I plopped it. I immediately heard the construction noises of SC4. So I had to query it to see what would come up. It turns out they are building a Mcdonald's in Chatham. No big deal everyone loves fast food. Now what gets me is this is right across from the health clinic. Like how stupid are sims placing a fast food joint which could possibly kill your life expectancy in the city to a medical clinic across the street (which is now a road). I guess it's quite ironic...or its just another reason how stupid Sims really are.

Here is a picture for viewing pleasure. Also the Mcdonald's is not a landmark lot it is the real deal3.gif

Isn't it more interesting that your sims are commuting to the neighboring town on foot?! I thought this wasn't possible...

Ya no kidding pnorrell. Either way if it works for him it must work for me. Also it actually looks kind of like a flat frog that is on the avenue which basically means one thing...Roadkill

Keep up the fun shots everyone as more will come from me in good time.

Actually such a canal bridge over a railway lines exists somewhere in eastern Germany not too far away from Berlin ... I have not seen it by myself but saw a lot of pictures of it in some German RR magazines - and no, not in the april numbers ...!

Actually I would rather like to know how this was made!

Most of the time when i'm looking at these pics the only thing i can see on most of them is the file extension.

What gives?

If every one else is "cracking" up I'd like to, too.

After messing around with the free flow stream lot (avaliable on the STEX) I got this interesting result from placing a row of them in a line.  Something like this might be useful if you wanted to simulate a flood in a cj.

that stream thing is cool. To be honest that light blue stuff looks completely stupid. but thats not a problem and all that matters is that its a mostly solid color and in photoshop it will be easy to make it look like floodwaters

HamsterTK, I agree about the light blue water color looking rather odd, personally I think it would be cool if someone could mod the color of the stream water to a more realistic dark blue (unfortunatly I have absolutly no skill in that department though). It would actually be even better if the water was brownish for simulating flooding, just a suggestion if anyone is interested in modding the original stream lot.

Usad25, I don't know why the pics aren't showing for you, they appear fine for me. It could have something to do with your internet connection, or your web browser, but I wouldn't really know.

They show fine for me.  You should check your browser settings and your firewall.  You are obviously deleting them at your end.

The pictures were automatically deleted, as they were very old.

My amazing traffic loop of death! Apparently you can't make a right turn immediately after a left so instead they loop around the intersection.

Wow.  Up here that is a moving offense par excellence.  I suspect you'd get a dangerous or careless driving charge for that.  12 points.

Hey, it comes in handy when you have that coronary (sp?) you can just go across the street. Although, as you might know, there is hospitals that have McD's in their food court/cafeteria. Which in itself is kind of funny.

A difficult pair of intersections to navigate:

Interesting Intersections... how did you get the turn arrows in the avenues?

Hope you don't mind, but I turned your links into images.  Much more convenient.  N_O_Body.

You need to download the latest version of the NAM (Network Add On Mod) which is here for the PC or here for the Mac.

Then you need to download this file here.
