Dependency: PEG security props.dat

Hello. I have a big problem finding dependencis - PEG security props.dat. I'm building a large Airport an wanted to have a fence - Airport Security Fence Addon-and -ASFA Expansion Pack1.

Peg Security Fencing Kit it not the same at Peg security props.dat. Please Help.

Offhand I don't know where this dependency comes from, I'm pretty sure it was a standalone file, perhaps this was something Paeng had attached to a forum post, sadly these are all gone since the demise of SimPeg.com.

I've done a comprehensive search on my downloaded mods, I can only find the standalone DAT so I can't reference where it came from (more likely it wasn't part of a pack, I keep all such stuff as downloaded). This suggests to me the file may be MIA, therefore I'll try to get permission to have it restored on the PLEX on the STEX. In the meantime, provided I have such permission I can find a way to give you this file.

This suggests to me the file may be MIA, therefore I'll try to get permission to have it restored on the

PLEX

on the

STEX

. In the meantime, provided I have such permission I can find a way to give you this file.

Robin Shoot me that file too please.  I'll check it against the PLEX and my own archive (i know i have it somewhere) and if we indeed missed it i'll add it.  I'm pretty sure it's included inside something else though, we might just have to comb through the documentation to make that more clear.

    Hello everybody,

    I'm having the same problem: I wanted some nice fences for my industrial area, but I can't find the PEG_security_props.dat. Is it already restored, like rsc204 mentioned? If yes, where can I find it? If no, is it possible to make the file temporarilly available again?

    Ah, my bad. I think I tried it when I wasn't logged in and then in didn't work. I have it now. Thank you for solving the problem in the first place and for pointing out the obvious ;)

    I figured that would be amongst the files you had, although I've not had a chance to check. Seems like I can safely remove the attachment now then :).

    I wouldn't just yet I checked and Peg Security Props isn't a forum attachment it was in the PLEX according to the records I have, and yes I do have a copy of it, but I haven't uploaded it to CB ... at least not yet  :)

    Ok, I bump this dead thread, but thanks Robin @rsc204, that you haven't removed (or later restored again) this attachment. Some of Paeng's first uploads on STEX/PLEX using these props as dependencies.

    @catty-cb I'm gonna send a list with missing contents, what you might have (according to the lists what you sent me Paeng's stuff mostly). Now that I have all the Paeng and PEG files from STEX I can compare, what's missing. 
    @Craig-Abcvs, @blunder and @rsc204 could you please check if you happen to have these files? They were on PLEX, but never made it to STEX and nobody really knows anything about them or their whereabouts. I mostly managed to recover 20+ uploads, but these are totally MIA

    I have double-checked my SC4 storage area and I've definitely only got PEG BlackBeard's Fountain PLaza and unfortunately its a copy that someone passed over to me after SimPeg died so no readme or pictures

    As for the other two files it turns out you only need the PEG Alternate Rail Set Mod as SWAMPER-PEG No Railroad Dirt Mod is part of this mod according to the readme

    Hm... I ran into an interesting issue. I was about to put together an extra PEG-CDK3 prop pack (yepp, I have permission to do that from Pegasus himself) mainly to support some changes on the Heretic Seaports, and I realized that should be an updated version of this original upload.

     

    Something which is higher than v1 or v100. Because the Heretic Seaport Expansion contains a relotted version of this file with a inbuilt model-prop, which can NOT be found anywhere else in the whole PEG collection. There is a prop colled OWW2_Pilings Facade, which is not existing outside my lot at all, which means, when I made my relot, I copied some data from the original DAT file into the new lot file - back in 2016 I had no knowladge about hunting down models and props in prop packs, just to copy out one and attach to my lot for whatever reason, so it had to be attached to the original DAT file -, and since the currently available version of the Capt Jacks Landing doesn't contain this model/prop file, I must have had a higher version dowloaded from the original PLEX and I made my relot based on that file. But since 3 years ago I lost all my back up files and since I've been exclusively using the Heretic Seaports in my cities, I don't have the original updated file. 

    I'm gonna include this model/prop into the new Prop Pack what I'm working on, but it would be nice if someone had the original updated version of this file.

    Sorry doesn't look like I can help .... I've got two versions of this file (DVD3 and ????) and the readme in both of them is number 196 and both have the same date 29th of August 2007 and are a match to the version of the STEX

    Well, thanks for the help with these missing elements. About the PEG Pier Rail Props I had the same thought, sadly the webarchive image is too small to recognize what items could take place on the index image. Although I couldn't find anything which would refer to these props as dependencies. Apart from a master dependency list on SC4D and a similiar list on SimCity China, I couldn't find any other reference to this upload. In 2010 it was still on PLEX under the  PEG Utility Lots, the original date was 10/06/2005. Checking the release date and taking a closer look (under 500% magnification) onto the index image, I assume that the railings/fences of the CDK Pier Set vol. 1 got a separate render/export (separated from the pier platforms) and got released as a separate prop pack. However I checked the two Superpacks (cdk3 and cdk3-sp), and I couldn't find anything which would resemble anyhow the shapes what can be seen on the index image. But I can not be sure. Best would be if somehow somebody has this original file and in that case it can be compared to the set of props in the megapacks to see if it was merged into one of them, or it is really a missing pack from the list. 

    And actually the Scenic Drive Kit II. was a totally different upload on PLEX and it's not identical with the version what can be found here on STEX

    That one is Scenic Drive Kit v106 and was released in 2004 and it contains just a text based readme and an image.

    The Scenic Drive Kit II. v201 was released in 2006 and replaces the v106. Also it fixes the issues of the previous version. A fellow player (@PaPa-J) was able locate the Scenic Drive Kit II among his files and sent me the set with the readme. It has the default PEGProd readme html.

    And here is the list which contains the lost and found PLEX files, which never made to STEX 5 years ago. They are mostly organized, I'm still working on updating the readme links to refer to the new location of the dependency files, plus where there is no readme and/or images, I'm gonna provide them. This is currently 37+1 uploads (+1 is a new compilation of already separately released CDK3 and CDK3-SP models/props with the permission of Pegasus).

    With these the list of the still missing elements has been reduced to these four PLEX contents (not counting those patches, which were later used with updated uploads, the maps,  the various MML mods, the CW Artillery props - which were updated and split between the MTP-CWP Battery packs - and the above explained PEG Pier Rail Props, which presumably were merged into one of the CDK3 packs):

    Seasonal Tree - Southern Hemisphere Mod.

    PEG Modular Construction Units

    Schmucker House

    Gettysburg Seminary


    Otherwise I cross-checked my full collection of PLEX files (from STEX, SimCity China, private collections) with the available recorded versions of the SIMPEG site on Webarchive (the records are from 2010 and 2012), and I have everything else (of course apart from those 4 uploads).

    I had a different thought, back when my computer was still running windows a version of the SC4DataNode was released that allowed you to scan your plugins folder and save a text file of what the program had found, went and had a rummage thru my SC4 stuff and found I'd kept the file, did a search for PierRail and found this listed

    Apparently my hunch was right, @rsc204 and @blunder. Those PEG Pier Rail Props are separete fence/railing props from the CDK Pier Set vol. 1. You can see the comparsion with the two sets.

    With this recovery, really only those 4 uploads are missing, but I won't go nuts with them. I hope, if they re-surface at one point, though.

    This one will be a tricky one. I'm looking for this FiRE - Fire & Rescue Education from Becca (RebaLynnTS aka. BEX aka. RLM Production), in a version which was directly downloaded from PLEX and not from here. This version is missing either some dependencies, or it was updated back then and missing some additional models and props. 
    Paeng's readme/description for the expansion suggests that it should contains some firefighters models:

    * Firefighters
    The same guys (5 Models) as included with the FiRE core lots, but untimed and freely ploppable.

    You can see those firefighters on the above image, but the set what we have doesn't contain those models and props, the lots are empty and the Paen'g firefighter MMP gives brownbox on them. If it comes from a different prop set, that would be awesome to know, from which.
    Also I suspect that it would have come with readme originally, while we don't have that one either.
