Modtools should be the way to go.

Thanks for the info, your set is fantastic for medium density. Being able to make a proper height gradient from suburbs to hi-rises is really good.

Ok weird, when I try to upload additional screenshots to the workshop, the workshop is suddently only using the thumbnails, so all uploaded pictures are extremly lowres and blurry. Is this a known problem? Everything was fine a few hours ago.

edit: ok its not only me, checked the latest uploads and they have all blurry lowres shots.

Liking them! You know, your work reminds me of Aaron Graham's work. You are particularly filling those holes that we all need, the "fillers" to actually be able to build a whole city.. That's why, for your Manhattan theme, I would recommend some of his work as inspiration. Those Manhattan buildings look good, but if you were able to create some "residential towers" and some Manhattan offices, but not landmarks necessarily, but rather the filler ones, that would be awesome too.

Also, remember that depending on what part of Manhattan you are basing your buildings, some will have stores downstairs, and some will not, so a mix would be also good.

in any case, I'm loving your work so much, and I even left you a comment in your last upload.

I noticed some pics on my old assets were blurry too, so the steam problem is not about the new uploads but more general (but still, uploading something new might be a bit sad if it suffers the bug, not very attractive).

That building looks dope! and having it as a plop is surely the best way.. after all, it is better off as a landmark. And yes.. I knew somehow that you were aiming for it.. that's why I became a fan the second I got to see your work.. I have downloaded everything from the shop, and my cities are basically made out of your buildings exclusively!

Keep up the good work and let's get down to those 400 facades into 400 buildings ;)

Oh my god Aaron Graham here. I'm dreaming. Aaron, we need some of your Park Avenue residential buildings... :)

Feinbold, could you make a small tutoriel about the way your are working ? ( how do you select a building in google map (?) ; angle of your screens, number of screens, the screenshot before / after you work on it (photoshop ?)) Especially for big buildings, the deformation of the pictures is really important (for cornices, roofs... parts at the top).  I'm asking myself how you use these screens.

Sure, I can do that, though in comparison with your sharp textures, you will definitly loose sharpness and texturequality using my "method".

At first, I search for a nice building using Streetview, sometimes it is nessesary to go back in "time", because the choosen building is in direct sunlight, luckily, this one is not:
    h17sbGP.jpg

Than I take a few shot, depending on the height usually between 2 and 5.
    lCRfIz8.jpg

Next step is to combine these shots to a panorama and select the facade using the perspective crooping tool:

    wogLYRD.jpg

Now the real "fun" begins (next 3 pictures are sized down ;) ), here is a before picture:
    qDVbJG7.jpg

This gif (if it loads :P ) shows the workflow:

If this is not working, here are all pictures in an Imgur collection:

here is the final version ready to use, not extremly sharp, but good enough for Cities Skylines:

They fit (though there is the 1m gap between facades lines...)

But there is one exception, your hoffman buildings stands out, not only to my buildings but to your other buildings aswell, its extremly bright and saturated:

    CdePWi0.jpg

Odly, the LOD of the hoffman building is way less saturated and bright,..  maybe you forgot to change the texture on the main model?

Superb, they look amazing (really cute little shops!)
Would it be possible to have a few Brooklyn-/Manhattan-styled Office buildings as well (so we can create fully equipped neighborhoods in those themes)? It doesn't have to be large ones - just think residential/commercial buildings re-purposed as offices (quite common in gentrified area's as housing for local entrepreneurs and start-ups, etc.) In fact, it could even be the same models with a few different props to identify them as office space.
