RHW slopes too steep

Hello,

So I am new to both mods and the RHW, but I've grown frustated lately.

I am trying to create an offramp that curves around and joins another highway. As seen below, the terrain gets all crazy.

I used the Bullet Train Mod to gradually slope the highway down to level, but when I create the offramp, it distorts the terrain.

What am I doing wrong and what can I try to do to complete the exchange to the other highway?

Thank you,

Welcome to ST.

Puzzle-based features using will inherently flatten and distort the terrain in that manner, and the preferable alternative, in this case, would be to use the Flex-based alternative, found under the FlexRamps button.

Developmentally speaking, Puzzle-based RHW items are to be decomissioned and replaced with Flex-based equivalents to make it easier to organise the RHW menu buttons, and to avoid terrain deformations like that (as Flex-based items don't distort the terrain like that).

Fantastic! I tried that and it worked. My fear was that none of the Flex ramps matched, but once you place them, they form correctly.

Is there a way to gradually slope the RHW like the Bullet Train Mod? For example, in my picture above, I laid the 7.5m raiser, leveled enough terrain for the flex overpass, but when I drag the road, it goes sharply downhill instead of gradual.

I'm watching one of haljackey's youtube videos and I swear he just drags the road.

It depends on how the slope mod in question works. Certain slope mods (I don't remember which ones, but there were a few) don't have an exemplar included for RHW slopes, so you have to use another network instead. The one I use that does include an RHW slope exemplar is called the Ennedi Slope Mod, but even still, what I frequently do is "calibrate" the terrain by dragging Rail where the RHW would go, and then demolishing the Rail afterwards. If you're using a slope mod that has no RHW slope exemplar attached to it, you'll basically need to use that method I described with the Rail network (or other network).

If you are looking for a slope mod that contains RHW + highway in it, I know well and highly recommend the The default values are really workable and aesthetically pleasing at the same time.
