It's ironic that progress on a sonic jet is going at a snail's pace. RL has been challenging but it has been very nice to me as well (I finally got my first car!! AAAAA!)

 

But back to business, two more airlines have purchased the Sonic Cruiser and are looking to offer the very best in the Trans-European..

 

And Trans-Pacific realms!

I found a few UFO mods over on SimCity.cn, if you're interested, I can try asking Fanta if he is okay with me uploading them. Otherwise, I would ask Apeek first as he already has an agreement with Fanta with uploading his files. There are two mods in particular that I think you'll be interested in, the first being the SC3K UFO and the other is an EVE Online themed replacement which even includes a replacement for the mothership! You'll have to register to the site, but it's well worth it!

Not wanting to be left in the dust, Delta Airlines was the first US based airline to buy the Sonic Cruiser. Other USA based airlines may follow suit.

Singapore adds the Sonic Cruiser to it's fleet to revive the airline's SST routes.

 

The stripe design is an echo of the Singapore Concorde that flew for three years between Heathrow and Bahrain.

The police mod is on the way, just finished up the last of the US markings but I haven't gotten around to photographing every vehicle. In the meantime, I improvised with the Memphis PD units and made the Suburban a Tennessee State Trooper.

I know I asked for it before, and you know I share the same passion for airplanes as you do.. I even have my own collection of F-14s from century wings... LOL! But I would like to see the fleet from American Airlines with you models from planes.

 

The ones uploaded to the STEX are not as good as yours.. and to be honest, the 777 is missing the cockpit glass panels at the front. Boeing 737, Boeing 777, Boeing 787, Boeing 767, the Boeing 757 with old livery, and finally the 2 airbus used by AA airbus 321 and 319.. 

 

Please, please, please.. It is a big request, but having those planes made by you would mean the world.. after all, we have great quality on a lot of airliners, yet we are missing great quality on the biggest fleet.. American...

 

Would you at least consider it?

 

BTW, I like the sonics look good, although not my personal favorite =P

I do happen to have a growing number of AA gates at an international airport I am building for a new region, and I would like to see if I could squeeze more gates in. The Police Mod is almost finished, the USA skins are all complete and all that is needed are the remaining international skins and that's it. The sonic cruiser is still progressing, but several of the skins are not complete yet, so previews will be postponed until the time is finished.

 

I could do it, but there are a couple questions- For these jets, are you looking for static props or automata? And for the livery, are you looking for the new livery for most of them? If so, it would be a little easier than trying to mimic the reflective silver in the old livery.

 

Since the Sonic Cruiser is already open, I could squeeze in an AA texture if you would like.

As of a few seconds ago, I was able to iron out some of the snags in some of the liveries and I can now deliver some previews hot off the presses!

The airline industry is picking up the pace down under!

 

Even though the Sonic Cruiser never made it off the drawing board, she was still dressed up in her home colors at Boeing. Almost every picture of the SC shows her wearing the red, white, and blue markings of Boeing's old house colors which were once worn by the 777.

Having static planes wont be a problem, in fact, static ones look better to me because you.. they are there! lol... anyways, Im looking into the new livery, I think it looks really good, and well, we are talking of a fleet that has over 1200, and so I think it deserves a good quality touch into it.. and who would do a better job than you!!

 

I just want to thank you for taking the time to read, and also for considering it as a part of your projects, with so many things in mind at the same time I feel like this is too much, but honestly, as I said before, there is no one that could provide a better final product than you.. so thank you... for choosing American Airlines..

The AA livery for the Sonic cruiser is in progress, just trying to figure out how to execute the tail and engine assembly. I think the new livery for AA suits their jets well, though I'm not too fond of the way they place the name right across the windows. Southwest Airlines did the same thing and it's distracting when airlines do that.

The police mod is almost over, though i'm feeling the pressure to just get them out there.. This was a request from MTYLand to make a set of HK-style markings for the new models.

 

 

And in other news, the QM2 project isn't entirely dead, I have been refining the modeling for the upper decks and I even added the radio antenna. The smaller structures will come soon.

And I was not satisfied with the texturing of the aft open decks so i have been working to refine those-

This was on the back burner for a long time, but never had the chance to get to it. It was a revisiting of a project I made several years ago and it was always in my "pending" projects. I want to make both appear as separate instances but for some reason every try didn't work.

It is good to you are still working on the QM2,and refining the textures was a good idea,the older ones were looking too blurry i guess.I hope the difference is strong enough to be recognized in game,would be a bummer if your hard work wouldn`t pay off.

The two southwest airline planes,are they automatas or props for airport builders?In both ways,they definitely are upload ready.I started building my own airport with all those bits and pieces from the airport set,and i can tell you,my start looks horrible

I wanted to make it to where both would appear at the same time, much like additional automata. But the problem I am having is that every method I have tried to make them separate instances has not worked and it sucks because it would be great to add variety. It would give the airspace above cities a little more flair with multiple airlines buzzing around. I'll upload the SWA but it might be something to re-address in the future.

The QM2 has a little ways to go with the edited textures. Being that it is a huge model, I want to make it as accurate as possible as to not release another RS Gigantic.. -shudder-

 

The Southwest jets are automata. This is a revisiting of an older project as my skills were a little weak (this was year two, if I remember right).

Don't stress out too much over the way an airport is turning out. It takes some trial and error but if it helps, you can always ask around

 

Speaking of revisited projects, I have another one which will be uploaded along with the Southwest jets. In fact it was uploaded around the same time as the original 737!

Unfortunately, MMP's are not a specialty of mine and I do not have the know-how on making them. Tutorials on them are also hard to find but the next best thing I can do is render them out as static props. They will still need to be lotted but as props they can be placed on any lot.

Actually, there are a couple of AN-225's made for SimCity. Srainy did an amazing job on making an for the Exchange. But that's not all; Tabinohito made several sets of aircraft including the AN-225 (as a static prop and the scaling is accurate) as well as the Beluga as part of his Freighter Prop Pack (registration required, but trust me having a LEX account is well worth it!)

Some friends and I are working on a massive airport over here: https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=15529.msg493369#msg493369and were trying to get a broad selection of unique air freighters--would love to hear your thoughts on the project thus far as I think it's the biggest SC4 air travel project going on now and we're striving for a high degree of realism that more input from plane exports can't hurt   As for remaining requests, perhaps a cargo version and/or stretched cargo version of the A380. And it seemed the shuttle/Buran carrying aircraft were available only as automata so they could be nice as props. Thanks for your help

I spotted a Tu-154 in Aeroflot markings from the SC4D boards and as I posted in my status, I would kill to have it! There can never be enough trijets in SimCity!

 

Part 1 of 2 for this livery as suggested by Cmpd- the New American is arriving!

The placement of the logo may change, so far it best follows the real design but that forward canard assembly has proven to be nothing but trouble with most of these logos..

 

Why "Part 1 of 2"? Well, there will be the previous version of AA created! Why leave out one of the most iconic airline liveries?

Update- the logo for the new AA livery has been relocated to right below the canards (I swear, those are a huge pain) so it is closer to the real livery used by the airline.

 

And as promised, the old AA livery has been finished!

Wow.. it looks fantastic! the American is better positioned in this version.. its easier to read too.

 

I cant wait to see the rest of the airplanes though.. Im pretty sure they're gonna turn out great!
