Inaccessible Chat

Can't access the chat since when I open it, it stays a blank screen. I'm using FireFox and I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash on my laptop. Other than that, I'd assume it'd work since it did on my old laptop. Anything I'm missing to get it to run (And no I'm not installing Google Chrome -- too many bad memories )

 

EDIT - I can't find the adobe flash plugin on my firefox, I only seem to have Shockwave Flash at hand. If this is the case, then where could I get the plugin for firefox?

In Firefox, "Shockwave Flash" is how the flash player is identified. Adobe have chosen quite a confusing name here, with it similar to the "Shockwave Player". Rest assured though, you've got the correct plugin installed.
 

Getting to the problem, are you using the latest stable version of Firefox (33.0.2)? To check flash works in your browser, does the about page display correctly?
 
Some other ideas:

• Clear Firefox's cache (the usual suspect).
• Try starting Firefox in safe mode. This disables plugins which may interfere with selected flash or JavaScript content (like the chat).
• Clear Flash's local storage cache in: Control Panel > System and Security > Flash Player:

 

 
 
If none of this works, it might be worth starting from scratch by doing a complete re-install of the player.

nah its not only caused by using firefox...

 

in some case just like my case few month ago, its because of the internet just too unstable to connect (usually with high ping). I couldnt reached the chat at that time eventhough I use chrome as my browser.

I've never had a problem getting into chat with the latest firefox.  I suspect that there are times when the server is just too loaded to respond.

Huston, did you solve the issue?  I am having the same issue with FireFox v 33.1.1.  Chat works fine on Internet Explorer, but not on FireFox.  Quoting a post works on FireFox but not on IE.  Frustrating!

Shockwave is a synonym for Flash.

 

Works for me using ff 33.0 canonical 1.

Not yet. Although I actually haven't tried anything yet since I've been away for a while. I never tried chat on IE (Don't even wanna think about it ) but so far, Mozilla's still not loading up the chat. Really is frustrating!

I have Firefox too but I have no problem. I can enter the chat anytime.

Try disabling some of your ff plugins (if any).  This may be blocking access to chat, but I can't imagine how.
