Xbox 360, Do you have one?

As for me, yes I do, I got the premium off the internet, no waiting in line for hours for me. I also have Call of Duty 2, NFS: Most Wanted, Perfect Dark. I asked for Madden 2006, PGR 3 , NHL 2K6, Battlefield: Modern Combat and THAW for Christmas. No Xbox Live yet though. It really is awesome.

I wouldn't think of one yet. Wait until things settle first. Anyway, I don't celebrate Christmas at all, so there's no pressure for me.

Bleh, I'd rather stick with a PC. Saves money too.

Just a comment. You can get one if you want, I'm not trying to stop you, it's your choice....

But, I'm not wasting my money since you'll buy it for (How much, $380?), and it will last for 2-3 years, until something new (Say Xbox 680), and then waste money again.

I find PC much more satisfying. (And much more thrifty...)

Well PS2 was relesed in 2000, xbox and GCN were 2001. so 360 is trying to get the early market, lige PS2 had back in 2000. Dook got a ps2 in 2000. o hpwever am waiting for PS3.

As for the Mac/Microsoft thing, I don't care who makes the computer or game console. Make what I like and I'll buy it. Period. People mistake me for a die-hard Mac nut. Nope. I simply buy them because I like them.

But Xbox I just don't get. Their games target only a certain type of person. Their advertising targets only a certain type of person.

I did a massive research study on this involving gender, sexuality, social structure, and the language of video game advertising. It was a sociolinguistic study that I did for my Master's project. My results suggested that the Xbox advertising targets, by far, the most limited audience of the three major consoles.

Somebody at Microsoft once said that they don't get into anything without intending to be number one. With a marketing model like that, they never will be.

Considering that (at least for the time being), there aren't any games that are exclusively for it that I want, I will of course not be getting one. It's also doubtful that a megaman game would come out exclusively for American console, so it's unlikely that I ever will. CUrrently the PS3 looks best to me. As for the revolution... well, we'll see....

My parents might get me one for Christmas. If they cant get one then most likely I wont be getting one for a long time or never. If they cant find one now, then I would have to wait until at least February, and by then Guild Wars Chapter 2 will be almost out to keep me busy until Revolution comes out or Guild Wars Chapter 3 comes out, then Revolution. Once Rev comes out, I probably will completely forget about Xbox.

I have an Xbox 360, but currently the only 360 game I have is BF2... what a terrible game compaired to the PC version! I am also having a hard time getting Halo 2 working (see other thread with Xbox 360 in the title ), and so far I am pretty bummed about the whole thing. If this keeps up I just might return it.
